sick kittens and poor shipping practices
In the past year, myself and one other person received sick Bengal kittens from Spots of Gold Bengals. The other person received their male F2 kitten emaciated and sick, and after spending several hundred dollars, it died 2 weeks later from Panleukopenia - which could have been easily prevented if it had received the shots Jimmy Glenn- part owner of Spot...

Buyers please be caution when purchasing a bengal kitten from spots of gold bengals. I purchased a kitten on April 26th, 2014 and on the second week of having him I noticed something was wrong. He was not playing and looked bloated. I took him to the vet on May 11th, 2014 where he was diagnosed with FIP. I don't have any other cats and the vet also mentioned it was contagious and he probably got it from another cat at the breeders home. I contacted the breeder and she would not refund my money but instead directed me to her attorney. I couldn't even enjoy my poor kitten for two weeks and what is sad is that he is suffering. I will never purchase from a breeder because clearly some just are in it for the money. Please be cautious and take tests right away to ensure your kitten is healthy.
Breeder contacted me via email (kittens@spotsofgold.com). We resolved this matter and do not put blame on anyone because we cannot fully prove where he got FIP.

I honestly don't know how to handle this complaint. We drove 6 hours and delivered this kitten to you in good health. You even took him to the vet and got a clear heath exam. A couple weeks later you began asking for a refund because you found out that you were allergic to the cat. I gave you permission you resell the kitten, which is clearly against my initial written contract, but I wanted you to be happy with your experience. Then another couple of weeks go by and you tell me that he is now sick. I do not guarantee against FIP because there is no test to determine FIP. I suggested a replacement kitten out of moral obligation and because I believe that you purchased a family member and that you should have a lifetime friend when you get one of my kittens. however with an allergy, this isn't going to remedy the situation. As I said in the emails, if you ever decide that you want to get another kitten, please give us a chance to make this right and we will honor the offer to replace your baby.
