Pillows
Purchased 2 King S&F pillows which arrived yesterday. Spent $280 and this is an awful product. It smells and it is over sized and does not perform as indicated. I have an older pillow of the same make different size and it was fine. Contacted the company and they claim as a “zero waste” company they don’t take returns. I said fine give me a credit. Nope...
Read full review of Sterns & Fostermatress is defective
Bought a sterns & foster mattress 6 months ago for $3000 to go with the new bedroom & living room set we purchased at this same location. In total about $8500. The mattress has sunk in 1" according to the representative they sent out. He continued to tell us that the company would not take back the mattress until it sunk in 1 1/2" but I can call & speak to the store manager. My fiance calls to speak to the store manager & he repeated what his representative said but changed the sink hole to 3/4". He also said we had to wait until it sunk the full 1 1/2".
Defective mattress-left-side dent
Our mattress is 4 months old and we should be covered by warranty, which Sleepy's is not standing behind. This defect in the mattress causes my sleep to be interrupted as there is a dip in the mattress on the left side. An independent contractor was sent out seeing the dip in the mattress, stating it was defective, measuring 7/8 of an inch deep. Sleepy's is not standing behind this defect and states that this defect is not deep enough and denied it. This is obsurd. We purchased a Sterns & Foster because we believed this was a wonderful product by a reputable company.

Villa Rose Euro Mattress
We bought a Sterns & Foster King Mattress "Villa Rose Euro" from the Macy's Furniture Store in Dublin, Ohio. We actually bought 3 mattresses that day 2 Queen and 1 King. After less than a years, the indentations were so deep, my husband and I could not lie next to each other. The hump in the middle was so high. We also bought the "Mattress and Bedgard" 10 year Protection Plan. What a joke. This plan does not protect anything but the guarantee commission of the sales person. When we first complained, an inspector came to the house to measure the indentations. We were told at that time the indentations did not meet the min. indentation for replacement, and that the bed had a light stain, there by voiding our warranty from Sterns & Fosters and that there was nothing they coulkd do. What about my "Mattrass & Bedgard" Mattress Cover? Wasn't I protected by the plan for replacement if the cover did not protect my mattress? We could not get anyone to resolve this situation. Sterns and Foster said Macy's should replace the mattress under their warranty. Stains or no stains. That the small stains would not have caused the indentation of the mattress. Macy's said Sterns and Foster would not honor the warranty. Mattress & Bedgard would only comment that the slight stains must have occured during the time I had the cover in the wash, and did nothing but I found out today that they lied to us 3 years ago. Their file showed that the indentation did meet the min.after less than 1 year of use .Macy's said the only thing they could do was have another inspection. First apt. was in aprox a month. They said if the stains were still there that there was nothing they could do. Sterns & Foster Corp. found the file, had only the name of someone who called me and left a message, but no comments or anyother info. I told them I had talked with a corp. person and gave a name. Said no one by that name worked there. Sterns & Foster said I would have to go through Macy's. I want to stop the unethical practices of these companies. Sterns & Foster from selling defective mattresses with warranties they do not honor. Macy's from selling Name Brand Mattresses with warranties they do not honor, and selling Mattress & Bedgard 10 year Protection Plans that do not honor anything. Help me to protect consumers from buying these products. These mattress covers are only money making scams used by the salespeople to increase their commission. They must be stopped. I was a life long Sterns & Foster Mattress Co. customer. NO MORE! NEVER AGAIN! There are local discount mattress companies, who sell at a fraction of the cost and have far superior quality. Start shoping made in the USA and local when ever you have the opportunity and these companies will soon be long gone. In this economy, it doesn't take much to put thers companies out of business. Let the buyer beware...These practices have been going on for to long. Get the word out now...DO NOT BUY from STERNS & FOSTER Mattresses. DO NOT buy any mattresses from Macy's and NEVER BUY the MATTRESS & BEDGARD 10 YEAR PROTECTION PLAN from ANYONE! Thank you, Debra Feeney...Sleepless in Columbus, Ohio

S&F and most other mattresses are made the same way and probably in the same plant (somewhere in E Asia). So next time, just buy a throwaway for no more than 500 bills. They really are all the same. And btw, one huge cause for sinking is the boxspring which today is made of flimsy (almost balsawood) material and they should be set on a a piece of thick plywood - no matter what brand.
The mattress industry discovered about 15 years ago it was shortchanging itself by producing bedding that had too long a lifespan. They fixed that problem.
