UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES
I discovered an unknown charge on my AT&T bill that was hidden in an area called "other company billing. When I clicked on that area I discovered that this company was charging me $14.95 per month plus tax. They claimed that their service had been order online by someone whose address they would not reveal to me, due to their "privacy policy". Neither AT&T, nor this company, had performed any due diligence to insure that the person being charged was the person who was placing the order or receiving their service. I am sure that they do not get caught in this 100% of the time, and even when they refund the money, they have the free use of that capitol, until they are caught. I replied:
"I understand the first level requirements of your privacy policy.
I also understand that this is not the standard in the discovery process for class action law suits, or for complaints before regulatory agencies.
Please do a search on this term; "Motion for Production of Documents".
I think that you will agree that, in the long run, a simple disclosure would be the wisest course of action."
Now we need to start a class action law suit on behalf of all of the victims of this scam.

unordered services
We were billed 14.95 on our verizon phone bill for National lampoon via Streaming flixs.com We never requested this service or whatever it is, and were never made aware of it until we got a phone bill. It seems no one has to pay, or they cannot force you to pay, and they cannot cancel your phone service, but if you pay by electronic wire wherein the deduction is automatic you then have to call verizon and have them adjust your bill. Verizon seemed to be sincere in their efforts to correct the problem, and I assume other providers would be too, however, it is unfortunate that companies such as [protected]@T and verizon would allow a situation like this to exist. And apparently a lot of people have been sucked in to this scam. I only hope enough complain until some corrective action is taken.

I have no clue what this is all about. I just noticed it on my Nov. and Dec. phone/internet bill with Verizon. We did not authorize any such service.

Fraud & Unauthorized Charges
I can see by all the comments from other complaints about this company that it is normal business practice for this company to steal info and identities from people and have charged sent to their phone bills. ATT appears to be in bed with them and assisting in the fraud. It apears ATT collects a fee for helping the scammers.
It is a shame how crooked big business has become in this country and how our government does nothing about it...mainly because the polititians are being paid off to help screw hard working Americans.

Streaming Flix charged my Frontier phone company $14.95 for a service that I never ordered. I called Streaming Flix and was told that they would send me a copy of the "exact order" that was placed. It came to my email address in a PDF file, strangely in the exact screenshot of the entire Internet Explorer screen--a clear forgery. The representative told me that they would 'cancel' the service but that I would probably be responsible for the original charge on my phone bill. I then called Frontier to tell them about this scam, and asked them to put a block on this third party charge so it wouldn't happen again. I was 'advised' to pay the entire bill to Frontier and not to put a block on the bill so Streaming Flix could "credit" Frontier with the unauthorized charge since they are obligated by law to pay it to the third party administrator. This whole thing is a scam.
Called Streaming Flix and spoke to customer service and told them to please delete the service - that I had never ordered it. Each time I stated that I had never filled out an application for the service I was hung up on - this happened 3 times so I called my telephone provider and had a block put on my bill. They removed the charges and placed a block against 3rd party billing. I have also sent an email to Streaming Flix stating that I want the service deleted.

Streaming Flix Natl Lampoon is a rip off company. I never ordered any service of any
kind from this company. It is a fraud and an outrageous scam. People that have
been victimized by this company should file legal action, including criminal charges
against this company.
This just happened to me. An unauthoried charge showed up on our verizon bill. This is not something I would have knowingly ordered. Someone named "Cassandra" at Streaming flix says they will remove the charge in 1-3 billing cycles. I sure hope so.
Tally up another one. Thet just tried to stcik me with there fruadunebt billing claiming someone filled out a form. I am sure somebidy did but not from this household.
I even went to the streamingfilx website and tried to log on with a pass that I know I would have used for something like this and of course I was denied. I would not have used any other password than the one I tried. Oh, its not just AT&T, now its also Embarq.

you can't just delete a service, do you want them to come to your house and take an eraser to your bill. Also in all fairness just telling someone, after two months of having access to the service, you didn't order it isn't a good enough reason to give someone their money back. Why does everyone always think they can get free stuff all the time. It's all the dishonest people that say they never ordered it when they really did that ruins it for the people who really didn't order the service.
No other business in the world can you just call and say, "well i don't even know what it is, and even though you have my ip address right in front of you with the last 4 digits of my social, i never ordered it. So i would i would like all my money back please."
THAT IS CRAZY, and not how it works. I leave work everyday with a little less faith in the intelligence of the American people...grr
14.99 wich was billed to my at&t acc.
big scam- while ansering one of those e-mails of winning a shopping card. streamingflix will come in and scam your infomation to charge you 14.99, on your at&t phone bill.
went to B.B.B 12/18/09
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I also got charged 14.99 twice on my frontier bill.I called frontier, they removed the charges and told me that I had to call and stop the service . whatever the service from these people entailed. Frontier called it cramming and when I called to cancel the service the operator became beligerant and immediately goaded me to the point of frustration. These folks should be investigated by the fcc and phone companys should beware of them instead of letting these charges slide. How much are they making by people not checking their phone bills.

Hey everyone,
I have not been scammed but I know the fix. This company was raided this morning by the FBI. If you have information you are encouraged to contact the fbi via there website or email them at telephone.victim@ic.fbi.gov.
I have been going through the same problem, it started up about 3 years ago with intermittent charges, but now it's escalated to charges every month. I've called AT&T each month to dispute the charge, file a complaint, etc. They say they've blocked my account from 3rd Party access...if that's true, how come the monthly charges are still being issued?
Any suggestions? Should I just let the charges pile up? Dealing with AT&T customer service on this matter is not only time-consuming but frustrating as well considering the attitude and outright rudeness of 99% of AT&T representatives.
This scam still continues. So much for complaints to the FTC and BBB. My Verizon account was blocked to third party charges, but they still billed me and offered a very lame excuse as to their block's incomplete effectiveness. StreamingFlix also sent me a bogus PDF file supposedly containing my wife's "authorization", which she never filled. How can law enforcement be so feeble as to let this scam continue unabated for years?
I received an email today and responded to them and my phone company IMMEDIATELY so I have yet to see if a charge will be added to my bill. They are NOW listed as Uvolve and charge $14.99/month for an online university information service...WHAT?!?!?! The Uvolve representative had the nerve to try to sell me on the "service"... Who would need to pay for that when you can google online universities! They apparently got my into after I requested info about an online university program on the UNIVERSITY'S WEBSITE. I contacted the University extremely upset initially, because I figured they were receiving some sort of kickback from these monthly fees, but the University had no idea this was happening until they started receiving complaints this week. These scammers are SICK and from the previous posts they just change to another product/service every few months. My next call...BBB. This is ridiculous!
I also got this on my bill and had no idea about it. They said I signed up for it and I never did.I have Verizon service and I think they should not allow this to happen without contacting you first.
Everything that has been told above has happened to me. I don't see the need to re-type the same story. I have filed a complaint withthe Better Business Bureau of Minnisota. In addition I am filing complaints with the FTC. When I went to the BBB to make the complaint the company came up as Double Secret Probation. Here is the information listed below:

I urge you all to make a complaint to stop this kind of scamming. The BBB link is http://minnesota.bbb.org/
Yes, this is a heartless scam - especially since it preys on innocent people looking for help with a job situation. Take action. First, call the toll free number on your phone bill for Streaming Flix and talk to them. They will cancel the account but will probably tell you that you will have to pay for the previous month. Just make sure they cancel. Next, deduct the $14.95 from your payment to Verizon and continue deducting until the charge disappears. Be sure to note on your bill, "Deducted $14.95 for unordered National Lampoon service".
If you are on automatic payment, call Verizon (be sure you call their billing number and not Streaming Flix). Tell them your problem and they will work with you.
Most Importantly: Go to the FTC complaint site and file your complaint online. If enough people file with the FTC, it will come to the attention of law enforcement.

Streaming flix has put a fraudulent charge on my Verizon bill. I have asked for nothing from them and have not received anything from them. This is a scam and totally fraudulent as many complaints have been posted against them. they added $14.95 on my phone and internet bill and I refuse to pay. They need to be stopped they are doing this all around the country to phone bills.
Yesterday I go my phone bill from CenturyLink. I was absolutely livid when I saw that I had a $14.95 charge from Streaming Flix. I called them this afternoon after lunch and TRIED to explain that I never heard of them nor did I receive an e-mail from them on November 2 to sign up for their services. The woman I talked to adamantly explained that they had an order form from me despite my adamant protests that I never received such an e-mail let alone sign up. I called CenturyLink and the gentleman that helped me out had the charges removed from my bill. I had a different $14.95 charge from a different company and the man I talked to there suggested the following: get a third party billing block on your phone . I did just that and if any of you can get ghe same thing go ahead and do it.
Unauthorized charge of $14.95 appeared on phone bill. I never signed up for Streaming flix. Phone company will not void charge from my account.
I recieved my phone bill from Century Link in the mail and noticed a charge of $14.95 was on it from a Third Party Provider called Streaming Flix when I called to tell them this was something that me or my husband had not ordered and would like to have this charge taken off they informed me that they could give me credit on the next charge which is going to be on my next bill but the first $14.95 they billed they could not give credit on it. I called them back the next day and they said they would send an email of the order to our email address to prove to us that this service had been signed up for well to my surprise they have said they emailed it 2 times to our email address and if they did I still have not recieved an email from them showing proof that anyone signed up for their service. In my opinion everyone needs a third party block on their home phone service to these crooks can not rip people off we all need to stand up to people like this it may have only been $14.95 but thats money that we can use other places!
yes i to just fount it on my bill today never order it and dont know where it can from
I Agree, I found the charges on my Home phone bill. Tried to find them on the BBB no information. Any one out there that has been lucky in that search?
