Money
I received the attached card by post as notification that I have won some money. Stupid me phoned the number and part of the conversation was that I have to buy some jewelry worth ZAR 250. I gave my Credit card number wit all relevant details. They withdraw the money on 07/12/2012. But to date I did not received anything. Hugh was my suprise to see that another ZAR 250 was withdrawn from my account again on 25/01/2013. Needles to say is that that particular number that I phoned [protected]) does not work anymore! What is my options to get my money back or to prevent them from drawing money again from my account?

Well it seems the target for these cards is anyone over a certain age! Received one in the post purporting to be sanctioned by, Brown, Davies & Wright. Saying that I had a payment due of £119, 613, 00. And giving a Pin Number to quote and the following telephone number to ring,
[protected]. (no charge for this call)
Thank the Lord for today's technology. Way back in the early 1990's seemed like every day I was receiving cards and letters from all over the world saying that I had won this that and the other, back then I did not have the likes of internet technology to tell me if these letters etc. were scams or not.
I'm nearly 70, (never thought that day would come), so I suppose I can start expecting a steady flow of these letters as well as the usual Insurance and Funeral Plan offers that I already receive.
So just be careful folks. As I used to say to my children, (and still do), "There's no such thing as a 'Free Lunch'. We all need a 'cash-wise leg'-up no matter how old we are. And receiving a letter or card saying that you have won something, hits the right spot every time, curiosity always makes us want to find out if the offer really is the real deal. Best thing to do when you receive something like this, is to close your eyes, rip it up, and pretend to yourself you never got a card or even a letter. If you really have won or inherited something, then expect a knock on your door. As my wife never tires of saying, "Look into their eyes" If you can't see their eyes, forget it!
Date: 10th February 2016. Country. England. White Rusty Male, Trying to enjoy life on a Pension.
Do not phone the number on the postcard you just received.
It is a money scam for exactly $183, 997.00
Does this amount look like the one on my card.YES
Tear it up and throw it away. They have tried by phone,
email and now a postcard. IGNORE IT.
It is a MONEY SCAM.

yes I have 2 cards saying that I have won $183, 997.00 when I rang the number [protected] the person said to enter the 9 didget code there is no 9 didget no on here the number on the card [protected] approval by dennis vilano sponsor jones`.taylor and Thompson and signed by officer of directors dennis vilano the first time I paid a fee and never rec a cent these idiots need wiping out its bad enough that overseas rip offs are creaming the country and this is a Sydney no so come on stamp them out regards Rupert bilston
Yep my elderly dad just got one of these too. $183, 997.00 sponsered by Jones, Taylor & Thompson. Judging by other complaints, these people know what currency is used in each country as the amount is always similar but with the correct currency symbol depending on the country. I'm going to send it back return to sender without a stamp as per other peoples advice on this site. May the fleas of a thousand camels invest their armpits and testicles.
I have just rec this as well in the post... its wrong to be sending people these kind of cards when this is not genuine.. another scam for people to be careful of!

I just received the same card saying that I have won £183, 997.00 and that I have to call (020) [protected] to claim my prize. I'm glad that I found this site before I was scammed.

Hallo mensen,
