Everything is in the paperwork that you sign when you become a member, Just because you get buyers remorse, dont talk down a business...They have an A+ rating with the BBB and i can tell you right now that these complaints didnt come from member...

Okay...TAKE A BREATH...No one is out to get you.. Heres some facts, Me and my wife of 22 years went and purchased the gold crown resorts membership from a sunshine promotions presentation. The membership works just like the sales people say...Me and my wife has already been on two beautiful condo stays and a cruise with the membership and never had a problem...So use it before bashing the company!

I have read the other complaints on here and I would just like to say that the promotional gift that you receive at the presentation is very restricted. But I have to say the membership with gold crown resorts is full proof. we just went on our first trip with gold grown and it was wonderful, location and condo was the must relaxing combination I have ever been to.

Recently my wife and I become a victims of carefully planned and orchestrated scam by Sunshine promotions, Gold Crown Resorts. We attended on March 26, 2010 the presentation by Sunshine promotion at their location at 901 31st NW Washington, DC During presentation we were told a lot of wonderful and promising things about the company and were offered to...

Using Deceptive Advertising Practices, this Boiler Room Operation is officially under Federal Investigation. Over 300 complaints from the NAAG and FTC prompted this action. Craigslist Fraud Center created several decoy ads with phone numbers included, to see which businesses would solicit them against TOU policy. Sunshine Promotions scanned these Craigslist...

I too received the same call with the same information. They are back in business in the Washington DC area. Interestingly, the first time I "promised" to come to their event, they were representing a promotions company. The second time, when they invited me back and I again promised to come, they were representing Sunshine Promotions--"we are now called...

I received a postcard stating that I had been selected to receive an 8 day/7 night cruise and if I responded within 72 hours two free airline tickets to any where in the U.S. When I called I was told that I would have to attend a 90 minute presentation with no obligation to buy any thing. After arriving in Washington after a 90 minute drive we sat through...

We purchased a Gold Crown Resort package through Sunshine promotions for $7, 000. and found out after the purchase that we were saving nothing on the publicized places that we wanted to go to on vacation packages, cruises, airline tickets, and lodging that we expected to book through Gold Crown Resorts. We were told at a big screen glorified presentation at...

I received a postcard stating that I had been selected to receive a complimentary cruise as well as complimentary air fare for two. When I called, I was told that I would have to listed to a 90-minute presentation about a unique travel service first. I was also told that I would have to pay ONLY a $50 per person refundable deposit to hold the airline tickets, but that all other benefits would be without any charge.
I made an appointment and drove well over an hour to hear the presentation. When I declined the offer to join a travel club, I was given two promotional certificates. The airfare certificate requires a $50 per person deposit, but also states that the deposit amount MAY be higher depending on the amount of unspecified "fees." The cruise requires the payment of $249 per person, non refundable, for unspecified "taxes and fees."
This is entirely contradictory to the flat promise that was made to me on the telephone stating that the cruise and airline tickets were FREE.
Bogus Winning of &Free& Resort Condo.
A caller with a very heavily accented English asked for me by name to inform me of my winning a sweepstake submitted during December 2008. Since I don't participate in sweepstakes, I promptly asked him to remove my name and phone number from his list and hung up the phone.
He called me back right away to push further... For verification purposes, I asked him for his company's name again (Sunshine Promotions), phone number ([protected]), and address (901 31st St., NW Washington, DC 20007), web site (didn't give any), and his name ("Joe Shafer"). After he mentioned the winning number (03458) and the condo., I had enough-- I told him to stop calling and that I'd be reporting him/his company right away. I hung up for the second time.
He had the audacity to call me right back again; I didn't pick up that last time. He didn't leave any verbal message--the answering machine had only recorded loud S-S-S/equipment-hissing back ground sound (just like in the beginning of his previous phone calls); I wonder if he/company will call again... I hope no one falls for this bold conartist/scam.

I just received the same phone call. They are using two new tactics: The first tactic is that they said that we provided them with our information when we made a purchase last Christmas. I never gave them that information. The second is that they have changed their name to Wenderer Promotions and the guy gave me the address 901 31st Street NW, Washington, DC 20007. He tried to talk me into coming down to claim either a 32" HD Sharp TV, or a $2500.00 cash prize, or a cruise, or a Ford Escape Truck or its equivalent value of $25, 000.00 if I didn't want the truck. He started going with some criteria that I must meet in order to claim the prize. I told him that it sounded fishy to me and if they were legit they would just provide the right information after about 20 minutes of me getting irritated I finally said, "fine. Keep you stupid prizes." I finally asked him to remove my name from their list and he responded back with..."whatever"

so exclusive, the letter is oin the web! I'll bring my CC right down! Do you need any other information that may leave me vulnerable to ID theft!
I find it interesting that the Sunshine Promotions representative did not sign the email with an actual name. I have been trying to get my refund (promised to me in writing) or at least a response from either Sunshine Promotions or Away We Go Travel. We sat thru their presentation and unfortunately my husband is a salesman's dream - he'd buy the London Tower if the pitch were good -
Of course we did not get the promised "free" cruise or "free" airplane tickets. For some reason Away We Go Travel just couldn't seem to book us on anything. (shocking right?) So far this month I have sent 4 emails to Away We Go and to Sunshine promotions and have received not one single reply - didn't actually expect to.
I will be calling that phone number first thing tomorrow.

Sorry JosueR, you've been had. You said yourself you get better deals on the free web sites, so what makes you think it will be different with the timeshares and resorts?
if the company is legitimate, then why do they lie and say you've won a sweepstakes prize when you've never entered a sweepstakes. When they outright lie to you to get you come visit, that alone proves it's a scam.
We went to the talk and bought one of their packages. Still haven't had the opportunity to use it, but it seems like a decent deal.
Their website looks "cheap" but it's functional. Their agency in fredericksburg has good customer service. Their prices seem to be worth it if you like to fly somewhere and stay at a resort.
Even though they advertise cruises, hotels, etc, I have seen that they rarely offer a better deal than priceline.com or vacationstogo.com.
This is the only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. My wife and I love cruising, and thats the only interest we had. They assured us that we would save 70%, however they have yet to beat vacationstogo and they're free :)
We paid $700 for a 2yr trial of the platinum package. They start at a very high price, but I'm sure they'll even go lower than the $700 we paid.
Bottom line, I don't believe they're a scam. They do provide a service, with a tight no refund policy :) If you plan on using resorts or timeshare type travel, this is a GREAT deal. If you love to cruise, use hotels, etc, STICK with priceline or your current agency.
Since I despise people that randomly post things and aren't willing to sign their name to it, here's mine:
Josue - bleu_mr2@yahoo.com
Email me if you'd like specifics or if you're an employee and would like to convince me I made a good purchase :)
No one will call me back regarding the free promotion and I have called twice. I even purchased.
These guys are still at it. Same immigrant-staffed boiler-room operation cold-calling people.
They probably are using some database other than just pulling names from the phone book, since they didn't have my correct name (which is in the phone book). Depending on how they got the database, it might give them some legal claim for a "prior business relationship", thus perhaps defending them from the $11, 000-per-call fine that the Federal Do-Not-Call law imposes.
But their business practices continue to be ... interesting. They "guarantee" that you'll "get a gift" for attending their 90-minute sales pitch, but they decline to divulge the terms and conditions associated with your "gift" over the phone: you have to attend the pitch to learn that, they say. Any guesses as to whether the "gift" still looks like a good deal after you've read the fine print?
Best thing you can do with these guys is to keep them talking as long as possible. If they're talking to you, they're not smooth-talking somebody's 80-year-old grandma.
Wow, this is really a scam! Look at the three last posts before mine. They were all posted the same day. Also, their spelling is terrible and they all use the little "i" when clearly any American uses the big "I" . These people are probably working for this scammer or is the one and only scammer trying to post some good comments to try and make up for all the posts about these scammers.
Thats all foolish actually i have won the prize with the same company... They call me and give me my information that they recieved a coupon under my name and adress whcih was correct information further they tell me details that how i can get my gift the only thing they required from us was the gifting number and the two pieces of ids like a driver lisence or a health card...
I was thinking that it is all fake and it was a scam but when i went there and do exactly same as i was told to do i actually get a 27 inch high definition television...
And i thanks to sunshine permotions for giving me the gift...

Count yourself blessed for not falling for the travel deal they offer... all you lost is your time.
These people are expert sellers, convincing you that you are getting a great deal on a product that is basically a travel agency with a lousy web site. There are just enough good deals available through Gold Crown to make them legal, but not enough to actually provide a useful service. But they certainly know how to write an ironclad contract...
Hello Cal O,
My name is Stephanie and I represent Sunshine Promotions LLC as the Customer Relations Manager. I am sorry to learn of your disappointment with the promotional gifts that were given to you.
You should know as well as other readers that we solicit the aid of third party marketing companies to arrange for all appointments to attend a sales presentation here in our Georgetown, Washington, DC offices.
As part of our incentive for guests to attend the presentation, each participant (as a couple) is promised a promotional gift in exchange for their time.
These gifts are given out whether or not you take part in our travel program, and we make every effort to ensure that you are made aware when checking in at the Front Desk, that you will be responsible for any and all processing fees, taxes and surcharges, if you elect to use your promotional gift.
While each promotional gift are unique giving them a different value and out of pocket costs on the part of the participant, we make every effort when gifting the item to disclose what those are while you are here at Sunshine Promotions.
It appears in your instance you were not advised totally when the appointment was made of all the costs involved and for that I am truly sorry and can understand your frustration.
I can tell you that you are right in that the two airline tickets within the continental US do require a $50 per person deposit to cover all applicable taxes and fees.
In addition, the second certificate you received for a cruise for two for 7 nights to the Carribean in an outside cabin does require a $249 pp fee that covers all fuel surcharges, security surcharges, processing fees and port fees. While the costs may seem high, we ask that you consider that these are the only costs you are asked to incur, if you elect to participate. Given the length of the cruise and the costs of $500 in total for two people, it is still a very enjoyable cruise at a significantly discounted rate.
Sunshine Promotions makes every effort to disclose the costs involved as well as the process for securing these gifts, and unfortunately such as in this case, we do find that the marketing company did not do as well as we would like in communicating the costs involved.
I hope this helps to clarify the process and again, I do apologize that these costs were not fully disclosed to you when making your appointment. I also hope that you will have an opportunity to take advantage of these promotional programs over the next year! And of course, you have the option of declining the gifts, which we hope will not be the case!
If you need additional assistance, I welcome your call at [protected].
Kindly,
Stephanie
