Cracked TV
30 Day return starts when you purchase the item, not delivery. I bought a tv from this company that arrived with a crack, but because of delays in shipping I was not able to find this out till after my 30 days was complete because this starts when on the date of your invoice and not on date of pickup. My wife had to receive the order and was not able to...

TECH FOR LESS order number TL1242903 10 nov 2010 ipod MC008LL/A (Open Box) Apple iPod touch - Digital player - 3rd Generation - Multitouch - WiFi - Flash 32 GB - AAC, MP3 - Video playback - 3.5-inch Display - Polished aluminum
tech for less offer internation shipping all over the world, but as i discovered after going through the whole process of creating an order entering my personal details, visa card details etc and creating payment, then receiving confirmation of order details emails etc etc that the order #TL1242903 was then being cancelled because i used a non U.S. issued card ( NZ Visa)! how is anybody from any of those countries listed supposed to know this if its not stated ?
they`re cancellation of order email does however say that i can pay by wire transfer, which is both expensive and the prefered payment means of SCAM sites, or use PAYPAL on their e bay site, ( the PAYPAL option is not available outside the U.S. on their website ! )but the item is "refurbished" and not "open box" as per my original order. !
i tried to contact their customer support but because my order number has been wiped its not possible.
Tech for less needs to address these issues, and not treat customers in this manner .
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Bad equipment
Do not buy from Tech For Less! They have terrible customer service and their products are bad! Our company tried to buy a labtop form them and when it arived lets just say it could not use the labtop screen! there were two big lines through the screen. when i called to get some information i was put on hold for over 45 mins! Not only that they could not give me the same product and the man i talked to was rude and push me off! i could not get ahold of a manager to talk because the mn would not put me through! i now have to wait 7-10 days to recive a shipping slip to send the laptop back and wait another 7-10 day to recivce my money! To any one out there looking for anykind of computer stay away form this site they will only scam you to!
Better customer service from eBay? eBay is a platform, not a supplier. As to customer service, it would depend on the reliability of the actual supplier, which may not be easy to determine from the eBay site. Similarly, Ashley M seems confused as to warranties. The 1 yr. warranty purchased will be supplied by a third party. This will be in the nature of an extended warranty: only applicable once the supplier 90-day warranty has expired. Since Tech-for-less has a simple on-line complaint procedure, I would suggest that this would be the obvious first step to take.
I can never get through to customer service. I very unhappy with my purchase which was a Toshiba Satelite Laptop; Open Box. I thought I was getting a great deal and making a better purchase but I should have went with purchasing the laptop on eBay. Atleast I would have gotten better customer service. I wish I would have saw this website before I made my purchase. I purchased a 1 yr warranty as well so they WILL be giving me a working laptop or I will have to escalate this complaint further!
Samsung only give a 90 day warranty on refurbs. If the product fails, logic would suggest that you should blame the manufacturer rather than the supplier. Failures are generally just a matter of luck. Personally I have had better experiences with refurbs than with new - at least with a refurb, some techie will have checked that it works properly when supplied, whereas with new products the customer is the test bed.
This is a low rent company. Do yourself a huge favor and just buy new. I bought a Samsung Blue Ray Player and it broke right around day 90. No power to the unit at all. I have never had a new player subsequently break on me like this. I have several standard DVD players that are over 10 years old. Just buy new on a site like Amazon and sleep well at night. $65 lesson learned. Leave the Refurbs alone! Let Tech for Less sell to some other sucker next time!
Tech for Less sell mainly clearance, refurb or scratch & dent products. The damages on scratch & dent products are clearly itemized, often with pictures, via a specific link for each product. The term "functional but may have physical damage" is generic, suggesting that Milo_S failed to check the specific damage on what he was buying.
The website states "Many products are from overstock and liquidation ... quantity is limited ...". So if mcapen had bothered to read the site info, he should not have been surprised that the product could not be replaced with an identical item. The tone of his complaint might suggest that he was less than polite to the customer service person he claims was rude. Certainly if he was on hold for 45 minutes as claimed, that would not be surprising - personally I would never hold for that long.
I have no connection with Tech for Less, other than as a satisfied customer. I have purchased dozens of items from them, receiving prompt friendly service for the few that have been defective. Obviously they cannot test every product before dispatch and the nature of the products offered makes it fairly obvious that there will be a higher number of defective items than with a regular supplier of current stock. This is why they are cheaper than regular suppliers.
They are horrible, sent me monitor advertised as "functional, but may have physical damage" the monitor arrived and let me tell you, hald the screen is black. I do NOT consider that functional, not to mention it looked liek the box was opened and sealed back up 10 times. When I called to complain they told me I will pay 20% restocking fee and shipping both ways, and I guarantee you they will sell it to the next unsuspecting person. I think that's how they make their money, by selling and reselling broken items and banking off of restocking fees. What a bunch of croocks, somebody in law enforcement really needs to look into these guys and shut them down for good.
Scam and lies
In this economy, this company's business move was bad. But buyer beware. I could have called the credit card company and wasted my time there, but I was apprehensive about the product quality since they did not advise you of this issue when purchasing the product. Stupid policy & stupid move, which wasted my time. I will never buy from them.
