The Credit People Repair credit

The stole over 700$ from me telling me they can remove bad comments from my credit report. They even had me pay for and send them my credit reports. This is one of those companies you hope will help you and all they care about is ripping you off in some kind of legal way. This is one of the worst credit repair groups on the internet. Do not use them. If you are dumb enough to use them dont be surprised when you get ripped off.

You have been warned!

Desired outcome: Pay me back

The Credit People Mis-sold a loan

I paid the £49.50 Admin Fee to The Credit People, was also guranteed this so called loan!
I spoke to one of the (well supposed to have been) managers in the office, and he was incredibly rude when I asked him where the Agreement Form was, I was meant to receive, all I got was an Application Form, and a generated application form which was obviously details they'd taken over the phone for me.

I got on to Consumer Direct, who told me to write a letter (within my 14 days) asking for a full refund, I did this, and sent it off recorded delivery.
Had a letter back from them about 3 days after, basically saying, I hadn't explained the outcome of the loan application, so I needed to write another letter to them, explaining the outcome, which was the same as everyone else, ring this number at £1.50 per minute, 20 minute phone call.
There was no way I was doing that, so I explained this in the 2nd letter I sent to a 'David Williams' at The Credit People.

I have received a letter back this morning, and it goes on to say;

Dear Mrs ***

In reply to your recent correspondence requesting a refund. When applying for our service you signed in agreement (have never received an agreement from them) with our terms and conditions which states 'The applicant should take into consideration that once an application form has been received by the company, the applicant cannot cancel the service for any reason'

Unfortunately you will be unable to withdraw from the service until it is fully complete.

If you have any queries or problems then contact our customer services team between 9.30a.m and 5p.m Monday to Friday on [protected].

As if I am going to ring them, after the experience over the phone I had (The guy was that rude, first time I spoke to him (think his name was Jack) he wouldn't let me get a word in edge ways, so I said he was being rather rude, which resulted in him telling me 'No I'm not being rude, If I was being rude, I'd do this, and he put the phone down on me, second time I spoke to him, and questioned him on where on earth the Agreement Form was I was supposed to receive, he never answered my qs, just told me He couldn't stand my voice, so I'm putting you through to someone else, and he was meant to be a manager!)

Said that I was guranteed a loan if I rang a premium rate number [protected], the guy on the phone kept stalling me so I hung up. The call cost me £8.53 and I never got the loan. He said that I could claim back the cost of the call if I sent my phone bill to freepost cfd. I've yet to receive a refund!

The Credit People Con artists

I called the credit people and asked for a loan for wedding costs and they took me thrugh an application and told me i had been approved and that the repayments would be £114 pm and that if i wished to fast track my loan i had to pay £49.50 which would GUARANTEE the money to be in my account by the following wednesday. stupidly i believed them and paid the fee however on the wednesday the money was not in my account. i called them back and they said that due to bank hol the process of my loan had been delayed and that a confirmation letter was in post as soon as i signed and returned the money would go into my account. however all i received was a letter for another company which i had to call which i did and once on the phone was advised that calls were charged at £1.50 per minute and that they were a broker not a lender! i was not happy that i had paid the fee of£49.50 just to be passed onto another broker so gave the credit people a call back who told me that as i had made the phone call to the other broker they were not liable to give me a refund. i was disgusted at this as they totally misled me in thinking that they were a lender! i have now made various phone calls to try and get a refund but all to no avail! i feel stupid to have believed that what they said was true stay clear at all costs they are nothing but a big CON!

I have just been ripped off by the same company and in my situation I could not afford to loose the fee and although it was only £49.50 it will now make this xmas a bad one I am disabled and needed the money to repair my only form of transport and I had already started to have this done as they guarenteed the money in my account by friday and so had borrowed money from a friend on the strength of their promise now I am going to have to pay this back before xmas and in all truth will seriously be lucky if I have enough money tobuy any food or fuel to last me till my next benefit payment I am totally heartbroken and have been in tears for the past few days as I now don't know what to do I have been accepted for other loans but they all require guarentors and I have no one who can do it for me who meets guarentor requirments I trusted these conmen and as I am a law abiding honest woman I expected to be treated the same what a bloody idiot I am but it doesn't help my situation or the debt this will put me in ...anyway thanks for reading this comment if anyone knows of somewhere I can get quick cash help(I sure could do with it asap) that is not a scam that can be checked and genuine let us know if you just want to talk or need to sound off ring me [protected]...here's hoping you all have a better xmas than me and all have a scam free new year TRUST NO ONE IT'S NOT WORTH IT Christine

With the credit people they only refer customers onto cash finance direct (the £1.50 per min company) which u can get fully refunded for and when cfd decline you request a decline letter and send it to the credit people by law they have to refund you you wont get the full amount back as they take £5 for processing !but do that and youll get refunded
