A lot of unpleasant, rude people join such websites
Not recommended website. I joined the website www.thebump.com recently, but I was disappointed that such website had problems with the forums and rude people. I was shocked, when I joined one group and heard only ###, swear words and etc. I stopped to use it and they blocked my access within couple of weeks. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this website.
Giving Out My Address and Personal Information
I signed up for thebump.com and they ask for your address and say it's only for items you request. Now I am being bombarded with baby-related junk mail, and only found out it was because of the Bump because I opened one up today and the company had included a letter that said they got my information from the Bump. I believe this is in violation of the Bump's customer's rights, to be giving out their addresses and personal medical information. Pregnancy is a medical condition that most people do not want to make public, especially so early on. Heaven forbid a customer miscarries and continues to receive baby mail from random companies? That's torture. It's completely unprofessional and shocking that they would say one thing and do something completely opposite.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Misconduct/Misleading
I went to this website to get some advice from other moms and to try to get to know others in my situation. When I signed up for the account the website stated that it was there for support and posistive things. That is the complete opposite!
