True Vision, Inc. Have not received magazines

I gave a check in the amount of $118.0o for two magazines on January 6, 2009. I have not received any of the magazines. I have been trying for months to reach this company for phone but unable to get an answer and their voice mail box is full and will not accept any other voice mail. I also sent a letter to the Chesapeake, VA address with no response. I am fully convinced that this is a scam. A young man came to my door selling these magazines in order for him to go to school. I would appreciate any information on what I should do now in order to get a refund from this fraud company.

I purchased 2 magazine subscriptions from a young man named Marshall 11 months ago (July 12, 2008) from True Vision, Inc. The check was cashed and to date I have received no magazines. I have tried to call multiple times and usually get a "mailbox full" message. On two occasions I have been able to leave a message however, no one has ever called me back. I have also attempted to fax them and got a "no longer in service" message.

True Vision, Inc. Merchandise never received

Until today, I did not know that I am just one of many who have been taken in by the sales personnel from this company who visited my home for the purpose of selling magazine subscriptions. Of course, they had a heartfelt story of why it was so important to support their cause and purchase magazines to help them get ahead in life.

People who prey upon the kindness of others who really want to help young people in need should be ashamed of themselves and punished. I continue to try to reach this company by phone and mail, but to no avail.

True Vision, Inc. Scam

Just one more report on the True Vision, Inc. scam. I bought a renewal magazine subscription back in May 2008. Same story as the others here, the well-dressed young man claimed he was trying to get back on his feet and was selling magazine subscriptions to do so. Because this was a renewal, I wasn't immediately concerned. Once I started receiving notices from the magazine that my subscription was about to run out, I knew something was up.

I'd actually searched for the True Vision, Inc. company on complaintsboard.com prior to making the purchase and it turned up nothing, unless I missed it. No database is perfect.

Sidenote: If you search for True Vision here, you'll find a few 'rebuttals' posted by an 'employee' known as 1mickey. My 'salesman' was Mickey Clements, and I wonder if it isn't the same guy hoping to screw a few others out of their money.

I bought a magazine subscription from a woman claiming to be trying to get her life back on track after drug addiction. It never arrived. Phone calls to the company get no response. This company uses your sense of empathy to steal your money.

Later, unfortunately, looked online and saw numerous fraud reports about this company.

True is a huge service provider with very little service mind starting from people at call center. We are charged even our cable tv that has not been working for almost a month even after 2 visits from the company. Cable were installed by True people who misused the cable and misplaced the disc according their own people who did not resolve the problems and asked us to file another 2 requests of relocating the disc and recable at our cost when it was their poor work and judgement in the first place. It is Not about the money BUT SERVICE MIND AS TRUE IS A SERVICE PROVIDER! People at call center have no training of how to handle the problem and keep customer happy. I would not be surprised to see True chase customers away!

Ordered a magazine subscription from a young woman who claimed to be down on her luck, working hard to regain custody of her children after overcoming drug addiction. Paid $50 for a subscription that never came.

A representative of True Vision, Inc. came to our door last spring (June 2008) claiming to sell magazine subscriptions that would help her earn money to go to a beauty college. We got suckered into buying, and in return we received nothing. No magazines, no refunds, no returned voicemails. Beware of this dishonest "company" and keep your money.

Contact the authorities - you might not get your money back - but you'll put some heat on these crooks.

I too, was scammed! On November 5th, 2008, I gave this guy $155.00 for a subscription to both myself & to a charitable organization. I have received nothing at all. I tried to phone the number on the receipt with no luck at all. These people really are taking advantage of good-hearted people.

I live in Westerville, OH and I got screwed out of $120. I called their telephone and left several messages but received no reply. I pray that one of their salespeople comes back to our neighborhood and tries this again. They are nothing but crooks.

Same story, different day. Is anybody investigating this? Purchased 12/9/08--waited 120 days (which seems unreasonable anyway)--nothing delivered.

True Vision, Inc. Non delivery

Young lady came to the door selling magazine subscriptions through True Vision. Delivery was supposed to be a month ago and I've heard nothing. Very frustrated.

Yep I purchased magazines also from this same company, I live in Grayson Ga, and the guy also told me he had just gotten out of jail and was trying to get back on his feet and he was in church and that his parol officer was driving him door to door to help him out. We even talked about God and Church and 2nd chances and everything. Wow why hasn't this company been investigated. Like all the others I too got a voice mail. After reading all these comments I will assume that I will never receive a call back from anyone
Well I guess God knows my heart and if the people doing this will eventually get whats coming to them I hope anyways. Still makes me sick after reading all the comments above.

I bought magazines for my kids in Feb of 2009. It is now June and I'm still waiting for these magazines. It was sold to me by some guy saying he got out of jail and now he's trying to straigten his life out. I'd like to straighten HIM OUT!.

I placed my order in Dec 2008. The young woman did indeed have a similar story about growing up poor, etc. I'm kind of creeped out because she ended up spending about 1/2 hour in my house, playing with my son while we talked and I looked through the mags. I felt ok about it because I'd done a similar magazine purchase from someone raising money door to door, and I actually did receive my magazine (although different company). So now it is June 2009 and like the others I haven't received anything. I also called the number on the order form to complain and the mail box is full. If anyone has any ideas on how I can get some resolution, please let me know!

ttention all:
True Vision, Inc sell thier magazine subscriptions door to door. They tell you a sad story about how poor or bad off they are and this company is helping them get back on thier feet. Do not listen to this because it is all hog wash.

You will pay hundreds of dollars for magazine subscriptions that you would be able to purchase much cheaper straight off the shelf of your local book store.

Do not make a purchase you will never receive your subscriptions and when you call you will be sent to voice mail. They will never return your call. I finally got through one day only after I hit redial for a couple hours, I could tell they were disscusted with me when they finally answered the phone.

They pretended to take my information and said they would research it. They never did and I'm out 55.00 for 1 magazine subscription.

Beware, do not purchase from door to door salesmen...

Agree with above. I paid for a subscription and it has not arrived. Very sad since the guy fed me a story about needing a second chance in life. We all like to hope these things are real and we are giving people a second chance. Sadly, this type of thing means that they person who really needs the second chance gets turned away.

Same here. I purchased 3 magazines from young lady selling door to door. This was in December of
2007. She said it might take 3 or 4 months to start receiving them. Well, 10 months later and NO magazines.

I have had the exact same experience. I purchased two subscriptions, one to Rolling Stone, and another to PC Mac magazines for rather hefty prices in February, 2008, but have never seen any magazine. I feel sure this is a bogus company and should be investigated.
