Payment of $19.90
I have received another bill from United Online Collections in the amount of $19.90 The initial bill I received on Jan. 17, 2012 - I paid. My account with Netzero has been closed for some time and I keep getting these bills from them. Then when I try to call them, the number they have listed is not a working number. They have United Collections Division
P.O. Box 5006-BD
Woodland Hills, CA [protected]

I have written them as well, and still do not get any response from them.

Fraudulent collections company
I received a notice in the mail for a past due amount of $ 14.90 to a company that I have never heard of. I tried calling the number on the notice and was only instructed to put my requests in writing, there was no option to speak to a representative. In addtion, the email address that I was given appears to be the letter of my last name, my middle initial then my first name, I sent an email with no response.
I checked the internet and there appears to be others with the same complaints or concerns about the validity of the charges.
Please inform me if this is infact a fraudulent collections company. Thank You!
Fraudulent Claim
After being a customer of NetZero for four plus years with a perfect payment history I found I no longer needed their service and canceled my subscription to on-line access on Dec 8, 2009. Today (June 1, 2010) I received a notice from the above named collection agency that I owed $14.95 that must be paid by June 21, 2010. This is obviously a scam and NetZero has been notified by phone (call confirmation number [protected]). I have told NetZero that it is their responsibilty to eliminate this claim and a gentleman named William who refused to give me his last name stated that he would have it taken care of.
Thank you,
Milt Basnett

Netzero Account
I attempted to cancel my account with Netzero some several months ago. First, it was difficult to figure out how to do. Once I did, I sent an email in the manner provided for by the company telling them I wished to cancel the account. The account remained open and I simply ignored it as I knew my credit card would no longer pay. I expected Netzero to cancel the account but, instead, I received a bill from the United company.
This is an uacceptable manner of doing business. It should be no more difficult to cancel the account than it is to sign up for it. All of the time I was customer, which was for quite a while, I always paid timely. The only time there has been an issue is when I attempted to cancel the account after signing up for internet service by a local provider.

When are you people going to learn that the "only" way to cancel is to CALL THEM on the phone? Sending email does not work, and you consumers need to stop being delusional pansies who think that "sending an email should be sufficient." This is the real world, where corporate policies are stacked against you, and you have to play ball by their rules. I have used and canceled many of these services, and every time I call them to do so. Grow up, people. I think netzero is a bunch of ###, and I don't work for them--I'm just a guy, but I'm responding to this repeated theme of "I sent an email, and like, they didn't cancel, and like, that was wrong, and like, um, like, I have my civil rights...blah blah blah."
Fruadulent Collection Attempt
Today, 3/03/2010, I received in the U.S. Mail a letter from a "Collection Agency"--United Online Collections Division, supposedly out of Woodland Hills, CA [protected] for $29.90. They showed the creditor as "Juno, a United Online Company." I had never dealt with this company-and I never fail to pay my debts, so I assumed this was a case of identification theft and was anxious to get in touch with the Collection Agency. I called their Toll-Free Number on the Collection Letter-[protected]. No one answered and there was no option to speak to a live person under any circumstance, there was simply a recording telling you to send a check or your credit card information to avoid further unspecified, but obviously more burdensome collection efforts. I then did a Google search on this company and discovered this is a scam and that they will continue to harass me now for the foreseable future. Is there nothing that can be done to stop such unethical bullies?

past due balance
I received a notice from United Online Collections Division saying that I am passed due for a Net Zero payment of $29.90 on Acct # [protected]. It also says that if I do not pay in full by May 25, 2009 or notify them that it is in fact a valid debt, than they will assume it is valid and it will remain outstanding. First of all, I have not used Net Zero for at least 1.5 years. I have not received any bills for this passed due amout AND I cancelled my account with them over a year ago. I will not pay this amount. It must be some form of a scam.

Fraudulent collection attempt
This United Onlione Collections appears to be a fraudelent attempt to collect $19.90 on behalf of Juno, an internet/e-mail service. While I was a customer of Juno, my bill is automatically deducted from my credit card each month. I went on-line to Juno and it states my account is current. This company doesn't have a website, and no person is available to...

I have had the same experience as everyone else. I have reported the collections agency to the FTC and contacted the Identity Theft Resource Center [protected]) who have advised me about how to check my credit reports, and what to do if something does not look right. It's a pain but I suggest you all do the same or similar. If you have any other suggestions, I'd be glad to hear.
hi, my ma just got this letter saying she owes $14.95 on a past due act with no company info the phone number same as given above and the address is the same the message she got when she called the phone number it was only the recording stating she needed to write them with her personal credit card information i told her to stop what she was doing and do not reply ...i came online to find this. these "people" are obviously fake's looking to steal people's money. she's an older woman that is retired.
I received a notice from United Online Collections Division stating I owe $19.90 to NetZero which is bogus along with everyone else's complaint. I have typed up my letter of dispute and plan on mailing it. I too find it very odd and wrong that we can not talk to a representative. My family owned a collections company for many years, and we are entitled to speak to a rep in order to relay a verbal dispute as well. This practice from United Collections is unethical and completely against the laws of FDCPA.

Fraud
We received a bill from United Online Collections Division stating that we owed $14.90 to Juno, a United Online Company. We have NEVER dealt with Juno and have absolutely no idea how this company got our address. When we called the toll free number, we got an automated message giving details on how to make a payment. There was no option to speak with someone live.
Who should we contact to report this company? They keep sending us notices that are invalid...and that's the problem. We've ignored the last few ones, but this is getting quite ridiculous. Please help.
i do noy owe netzero...my computer crashed back in 10-09 and i got a new one they did not have high speed internet so i went with centurylink...you can see threr was no activity on netzero...there trying to charge me and i did not use them.
Set a letter stating i owed 29.90 or they would continue collections
I also cancelled my netzero account. I just received this notice from United Online Collections Division. I owed $29.80 and must pay by the 21st of this month to stop all collection activity. I also called the company and received an voice message saying they would transfer the call. It went to a music resource and then immediately told me that this number is not valid. I tried several times and it was always the same. I have never had so much trouble with an online business. Never again will I use netzero.
Hello my name is Jane Zeravsky and this what my report is stated on Juno. I canceled in October of 2011. This is my record. So United on line is getting nothing. Least I can pull this up on Juno for proff. My bill from "UOCD" was $21.90.

I just got a bill from them saying I owe Juno $44.85. I did not order Juno and never will. This is a crock deal and a bunch of stupid loser crooks. Of course, no website address to dispute this. [censor]ing loser crooks.
Hello ago I get a letter from netzero where it says that devo $29.90 but I cance my account in June now not is that me this coming this collection letter is assumed that one first pay to receive your internet thing that a disservice now have no is by charge me.
I can do? I have to pay that money?
Like some of you I had a charge come through my credit card from Juno which I promptly ask my credit card company to return as unauthorized. Approximately 1 month later I received a collection letter from United Online Collections Division for Juno. With help from a letter I found on Clark Howards web site I am sending an unsigned letter in repsonce to their collection attempt. The letter is short and simply states "I have been contacted by your company about a debt you allege I owe. Unless you can provide me with proof that I authorized this transaction I am instructing you not to contact me further in connection with this alleged debt. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, a federal law, you may not contact me further once I have notified you not to do so." Hopefully this will put an end to their fraudulent attempts with me... One can hope anyway!
I just got a collection notice saying that i owe them 19.90 for a netzero account i cancelled on sept. 20, 2009 almost a year ago! Netzero told me when i called them about it that the representitive that i talk to suspended my account instead of canceling it! Now tell me if that is not messed up!
I also received a letter from United Online Collections Division for $10. Juno said I owed for a backup service that they offered free when I disconnected the service. I also tried to call United but only had a recording. I called Juno who said I had to write to the company. I asked for a supervisor and I have been given a reference number that reflects me being taken off the collection list. We will see. I asked the Juno representative if United Online Collections Division is a company within Juno- her response was yes.
I did use netzero for a few months then I switched to yahoo, however, I made sure that netzero was paid in full before I cancelled my services with them. If your company would please check their records, I would greatly appreciate it.
