When on hoilday in Mexico 3 weeks ago, we were hasseled in to getting a timeshare, 28 days thay said we had to cancel, now we are home alot of things we have found out are not true, so we cancelled but we can not get our depoist back of nearly 800 pound. We were told timeshare were rip ofs but the deal we thought we were getting was to good to be true, thats right it was to good to be true.Every time i E-Mail them i get excuess back and have been told i will not get my depoisit back we bought this on the 17th of November.Since i have looked at the timeshares i have not found one good report about any timeshares, specially Sandos.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I bought a studio in August from these people. Aside from the 1700 they bilked me at closing and 1 month of payment, they have not followed up for any additional payments (I don't want to be the one at risk for defaulting on the terms of the agreement). After speaking with billing & customer service, it is clear these people don't know which way is up.
Very concerned as this was purchased as an income property and recently learned that it is illegal to sell property as income only in Mexico.
Any luck recovering funds?

It's sad when a salesman will tell you all kinds of lies, even getting other companies involve in his lies to get you to purchase a timeshare membership. Sandos is a great hotel, shame their timeshare sales will bring down the good name of this resort. This another forum with more complaints made to royal elite timeshare sales tactics:

Royal Elite has the worst customer service ever known.. a timeshare membership shouldn’t being sold for the purpose of renting it out for a profit. it is not an investment. you should be able to do a research about the company before signing, if you are not allow to take a couple days to consider a purchase as big as a timeshare membership, you shouldn’t purchase it at all. This is another forum with more complaints made to Royal Elite timeshare sales tactics, we are not the only ones.. this needs to stop:

CALL ME IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD THIS RESOLVED AND MENTION MEXICO SCAM [protected].
I was taken advantage by royal elite, they sold me a membership in the understood that they would sell my Villa del Palmar timeshare and by doing this I was going to be able to keep my royal elite timeshare with the money they provide me from my Villa del Palmar timeshare, they couldn´t sell my timeshare and now I´m in trouble because I can’t pay both timeshares, the led me to believe something different juts to get my money. We are not the only ones, you should check out this forum with more angry Royal Elite Timeshare owners:

We purchased 4 weeks of a 2-bedroom unit at Sandos in late 2007. Several weeks ago, when we went to reserve a 2-bedroom unit, we were told that only 1 of our 4 weeks was for a 2-bedroom unit and they refused to make the reservation. The 3 "Royal Elite" weeks, they claim, are for a junior studio. Needless to say, we are fighting this but as usual, they don't respond to emails. Has anyone else had this experience? The only reference to unit size in all of our paperwork we signed at closing refers to 2-bedroom units. I've read the blogs where Sandos has an insufficient supply of 2-bedroom units. I don't know for sure but this may be one way they are trying to stretch their inventory. We'll keep you apprised of what develops. If you have any ideas of what we can do short of getting legal counsel in Mexico to pursue our rights, please let us know. We don't know how the Mexican consumer protection agency operates and if we should go there next, or just retain legal counsel in Mexico. Thanks for your assistance with this.
I urge anyone who sees this that has been scammed by a timeshare, no matter how long ago, to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and their local Attorney Generals Office. If we can get a flood of complaints filed, the government will have to look into the deceit, lies and fraudulent practices that timeshare companies like Villa Del Palmar and Resortcom use to lure in and defraud people. It only takes a few minutes each. I have read thousands of online complaints, all saying pretty much the same thing. If we all take action someone will take notice!
Sandos Resorts is a great resort chain and has an incredible online reputation. The above comments are spam. I promote different product for this resort chain. They have 4 locations in Mexico that are all inclusive and beach front. They have one of the fastest growing vacation club programs in Mexico which makes them a target for crap like what you see above. Check out the Sandos Resort promotions here: http://allinclusivevacationandtravel.com/
I had a really bad experience with one of Sandos resorts: Royal Elite. This was supposed to be the most luxorious but my room was nothing like they promised. I found out that is a common tactic from them in this website:
The salespeople are deceitful and they make up whatever they need to do in order to make the timeshare sale.
