Scamadvisor.com is a serious extorsion scheme. (I was hesitant to post this, given that it might have the effect of others giving in as well, but I feel this is too important to keep silent.) A few weeks ago I was checking Google for the ranking position of a site I had programmed for a client of mine earlier (a business that he had just started). I was surprised to see "Scamadviser" search results next to my client's site listing, given the fact that I knew for sure that his business was 100% legit. These "Scamadviser" links had very negative sounding text, along the lines of "Are you sure you want to do business with that site?" or "This site looks very suspicious, watch out" and so on. It was clear that these "search results" could kill his business before he had even started, so I informed him immediately about this. He told me not to worry and that he would get these links removed immediately, he was pretty confident about it - I was less so. A couple of days later, I checked Google again - no more damaging Scamadviser.com search results. During our next client meeting I asked him how he had managed to do this - he immediately got furious when I mentioned it: it turns out he had to pay the group behind Scamadviser.com real money to get the Scamadvisor.com links and pages removed. His contact on the other side told him that he had several options, such as just improving his Scamadviser.com score (cheapest option) or having his pages removed (already expensive) or even having his site blocked for the check/test feature on Scamadviser.com (extremely expensive). My client opted only to have his pages/search results removed and that cost him a whopping $15k (yep, in words that is "fifteen thousand" - apparently those guys had figured out that my client was in a very lucrative business). Now, I know he told me one should "never negotiate with a terrorist" etc. and that he didn't want me to mention this to anyone out of fear of encouraging other businesses to pay as well, which would in turn encourage Scamadviser.com to continue, but whatever, this is just unacceptable and I don't know how search engines like Google haven't blocked them yet. So there it is. All I hope is that one day "the wrong guy" gets ripped off by these scammers and puts an end to this.

Scamadviser is a scam that's killing my business!
I use a 1and1 server. Because that server is out of Germany. They say business is suspicious, compromised server. I contacted them a few weeks ago. Told them I am a USA based company, My site has big name advertisers that I am an affiliate to. They would not be doing business with me if I was a scam. And I have no personal info. on visitors, Not even a shopping cart. No payments are made on my site. They emailed me back saying it's a new business started in Dec 2017. And they don't personally look at sites. In time it may get a better rating. They show up on the top of most searches putting doubt in peoples minds that I'm not legit. There should be a way to sue them for slander!

I just recently saw this too about my company the reference is https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/thetrailsendboutique.net. What they are saying is that the site has an unknown reputation, that it is a new site but the real location is hidden. It is a Shopify site and they protect the owners from spam on the internet. But what they are doing is affecting my business and in affect say that it won't last long. I have never scammed anyone in my life, and have a clean record. I've had to do a criminal record check for a job I had to do for a job. I feel that they are trying to put me out of business. My site is http://www.thetrailsendboutique.net. Oh, I tried to make a comment and it is not listed with what they were saying. Tells me something is fishy about this site.

Why damm google don't remove Scamadviser from its searching results? i think the problem is the google, google shouldn't list the website like Scamadviser. if google don't pay attention to this, sooner or later, google will lose its own markets.

⚠️Scamadviser presents itself as a hub that holds the prerogative to provide you a classification, even without your acquiescence, utilizing openly sourced details. While it portrays a façade of trustworthiness, the ranking it bestows is largely an intangible and subjective output driven by its internal guidelines. They assume a non-validated privilege to appraise and might block your attempts to challenge or modify the bestowed ranking. Guard against being indirectly swayed by this portal, which capitalizes on the efforts of lesser-known digital platforms. If your sense is that they're maligning or misconstruing your site's intent, mull over alerting Google and the respective online oversight institutions in your locale. Here's your route to Google's misconduct alert (do verify you opt for the pertinent link given your geographical area, but if an English variant is needed, here it is): https://support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905?hl=en
