Schulenburg Attorneys is very greedy and impatient company. I owed them a bit but instead of asking for reasonable fee they’ve asked for triple price of my debt just because I was late for 2 weeks with my payment. I will not give them a cent more, even if I could I wouldn’t.

I was phoned this afternoon by Michelle Eloff from Schulenburg attorneys, informing me that there is a court order to attach assets and sell it. I informed her that I am currently under debt review, to which she commented that medical accounts is not covered by the debt review. I said that I will challenge it in court to which she replies that I do not have R 15000 to go to court, to which I replied that this is what Dr AJ Muire quoted me for cutting my gums to sort out my problems with my teeth (which her client is actually responsible for), to which she replied that she will phone the doctor to inform him that I do not pay my accounts. I decided to get hold of her at Intercare and I found out that she worked at Schulenburg Attorneys. When I eventually spoke to her on the phone and I requested if I could pay the outstanding amount at the end of November she ranted about me wanting to obtain the bank details, to which I replied that she is putting words in my mouth. I will call her again tomorrow and have her put it on record that she threatened me with calling Dr Muire. I gave her other doctor's names and telephone numbers to call, this was placed on record.

I received a message as well from Schulenburg attorneys to say that a summons was to be sent for an account that I was not aware of was handed over for payment as my medical aid rejected payment for. Called in and spoke to Mrs Eloff as well, who was so abrupt and disgustingly rude. Kept putting words in my mouth and talking over me instead of hearing me out. Such abrupt intolerant behaviour especially from a woman who was supposed to do debt recovery is unacceptable. Mrs Eloff demanded payment immediately stating that I had last June to make payment, not willing to listen to my end of the story or accept a payment plan. In her words, which was recorded btw, "we don't care where you get the money from, its not my responsibility but yours". I will be requesting a record of that call. I think the public should be made aware of the way Schulenburg employees treat people.

I received an SMS from Schulenburg attorney's informing me that a summons is to be served or pay R819, 00 immediately. I had absolutely no idea what this was for, when querying this telephonically I spoke to a very rude and abrupt woman named Karen. She said that Intercare handed an outstanding account over that to them that I was not aware of for the amount of R419.00 for a follow-up consultation. I then requested if I could please pay this off in two pay instalments. Her response was NO and that she doesn't care where I get the money, but I have to pay it immediately. If not I will be issued the summons and if I cannot afford to pay their legal fees that my personal belongings will be used to cover costs.

She then called the next day to follow up on payment, I informed her that I had paid the R419.00 owed to Intercare, she then added that they will be issuing me with a summons as I have not paid the legal fees in Her verbal tone was very aggressive! Is this allowed?

Did anyone get an SMS saying they have listed you as a bad debt?

Can they do this or are they just trying to scare us?

disrespectful and very vulgar ladies so bully and zero listening skills they demand money as if they thnk you have it was handed over in just 4 months for owing 1800 from dr EZGAR the anaesthetic doctor so we made to sign forms in hospital them knowing they want to reap us off have never had a 3000 increase of legal fees for owing 1800 in 4 months ur handed over and they is nothing you can do are these ladies who work for this company attorneys this must be looked in to urgently as i think they not professional highly aggresive and hungry they conduct themselves so unprofessional and disguisting and embarassing for the company

I almost had the same experience with Intercare (Dr A Weber and Partners Inc) and Schulenburg Attorneys. My account with this dentist was paid in full on 18/9/2021 and apparently this dentist handed me over on 17/09/2021 - no one can provide me with proof of this because apparently the summons was mailed (not handed over) to my home address where there is not postal service. When Schulenburg send me a SMS only in October (very first contact), I immediately responded. Why should I immediate respond to this but ignore all their ‘previous attempts’? I send Schulenburg e-mails showing that I overpaid this dentist and they ignored me until 2 days ago when I received 2 SMS’s stating that if I (with my ID number) don’t pay R1 460 immediately they will blacklist me and the other one stated that my husband (with his ID number) should pay R930 immediately because he was already blacklisted. I immediately phoned them, and the lady could not explain these SMS’s to me – why 2 different amounts for and with 1 reference number? Why was I ignored and not contacted from October until now? The only thing that she could explain after 1 day of investigation was that apparently now my medical aid only paid R2 120 (even though the dentist statement I received in March reflected that they received R2 614 from my medical aid. A month later they send me another statement then stating that my medical aid did not pay anything. I confirmed with my medical aid then that, that mentioned amount was paid to them indeed). Apparently, that was then the reason why this dentist handed me over for R240. After this ‘investigation’ she told me that they will give me discount and that I should now only pay R450 – I still don’t know if this modest discount is for the R1 460 or R930 they tried to claim form me? I am not 100 % convinced that this Ms Eloff is or was very honest with me – how do I know that my husband’s name will be cleared indeed or that I am not blacklisted yet as threatened? How do I know that their ‘other’ amount will not pop up again as unpaid 3 / 6 months from now? It really seems to me that this Dr A Weber and Partners and Schulenburg are having difficulty with statements – their statements are very confusing and un-corresponding. This Ms Eloff told me a few times that this is really not hard to understand, and I do understand what she said but I want to know why is it so hard for her to explain what I want to know?

I have today also spoken to Mrs Eloff and totally agree.

What a rude impatient lady who said to me and I quote *Well I hope the Sherriff comes and attaches your assets"

How does she sleep at night but looking at the comments for this company that's them in general in my experience.

I will also be asking for a copy of my conversation.

I owe R2000 to Intercare and said I will pay it off and was told I left it too long.

SCHULENBURG just don't care, they have corporates paying them and don't need to be nice I suppose!

So this gets better..

I called for a copy of my recording now and they say 1st pay your bill then send us proof of payment of R650 and only then will they provide you with a copy.

Smart attorneys...

They know we haven't the money (:

Ey, these lawyers are also tormenting me regarding a R3470 for togga optical, the lady who phoned me said her name is Mrs Botha. I told her that I lost my job in 2019 and currently not working but actively looking for a job and she said she doesn't care about that, all she wants is the full amount and when i asked her for an arrangement of small amount for now at up until I get a job, she refused and continued to threaten me saying she's going to send someone to come and take my furniture if I do not pay the full amount. She said I must go and family members or she's coming for my furniture. Now I can see why a lot of people endup doing criminal activities like hijackings and stealing cars, robberies, it is because of lawyers like these they put a person under an extreme amount of pressure and most people end up being criminals because of this. Ey this lady is very rude and I can see that I am now her personal mission of destruction. I phoned back yesterday to say I am going to try and get someone who can be able to help and today she phones me to say I must tell her when am I making the payment but then mam we spoke just yesterday, I am still trying to find someone who can help like we agreed she disregarded that and continued to say I must tell her when am I making a payment. You know the funny thing is that I never even received those pair of glasses from the optometrist he still has them, I paid R1000 but failed to go back for because I fell ill and diagnosed with epilepsy and eventually I ended up losing my job. These attorneys are extremely rude, when they couldn't get hold of me or my husband they started harassing my 17year old boy during school hours. How did they even get his contact number, I don't know. We owe them R1900, and are both now unemployed, but we're planning to pay them as soon as we have the money, but the way they way they have been so disrespectful especially by calling my son and sending him an SMS, I will not kill myself over getting the money to pay them.

I only received an sms stating to pay an amount and to sent pop to the email or I will be handed over. I tried to correspond with them, enquiring what it is for as I have not received any communications before from them. Eventually I got to communicate with a Ms. Kotze and emailed back an forth on account. On 2 Aug I made a first payment and sent the POP and stating I need to pay the amount off as I can not afford to pay the whole amount. Today I made a second payment, shortly after this I was phone by Ms. Kotze again stating I am not allowed to pay the amount off and must pay the whole amount or will be hanede over for Judgement? She then also stated she did not communicate with me before when I said on 2 Aug she spoke to me and was never told I am not allowed to pay this off. Saif I will be handed over if the whole amount is not paid, and ended the conversation very rudely

I am having exactly the same problem with them -Rude and disgusting service!Dealrt with a Ms Botha the office manager just as rude and doesn’t give you a chance to talk !

A daycare that I had my twins at in Cape Town, Southern suburbs associated themselves with this business who have been harassing us for a payment (which is not even due to them yet might I add).

I explained to Ms Eloff that the payment (for the service not being rendered) isn't even due yet and she also didn't even suggest some sort of payment plan agreement but shouted that my payment plan I sent the daycare owner isn't reasonable, as if she knows my affordability because she definitely didn't even bother asking.

Schulenburg Attorneys has been sending threatening messages stating they will blacklist myself and my husband for a payment that isn't outstanding! *See image attached* Therefore this IS harrasment. I don't know how they are even still in operation with how they do business and there have been so many complaints about them.

Have experienced the same years back... I did not pay but now they are threatening my son. Very rude, disgusting attitude.

I've sent in a formal complaint to the lpc (which I didn't hear back from after completing the formal documentation as requested), and had to register with lawyers in order to get this resolved. Still in the process.

Firstly what confusion with Matthyssen and Matthyssen attorneys and Schulenburg attorneys as they are the same.

What utter rude individuals Mrs Moolman and Mrs Botha which we had the misfortune of dealing with yesterday.

We were accused by Botha of stealing because a supplier's account has not yet been settled in full we have only managed part payments. I paid R15000 over yesterday to the supplier as I work in finance not anywhere near the owner and did not receive any communication from the Attorneys .

Mrs Botha repeatedly said she doesn't believe what I am saying because why after Mrs Moolman spoke to the owner did the supplier get a payment?

It was honestly a coincidence I said to her I have been in constant communication with the supplier of which I have proof but due to illness the past month I did not communicate with them but could pay suppliers yesterday she kept saying she does not believe a word.

I said to her in the conference call she is busy with deformation of character as now we are liars and thieves. She then said I am putting words in her mouth.

They sent an email yesterday late because they originally sent the email to an incorrect spelled address why they did not pick it up as emails bounce back if incorrect address of acknowledgement of debt which states we have three months to pay. But put in another clause the full amount must be paid by the 10th after Moolman threatened the Owner over the phone when he called them if the full amount including interest and legal costs are not paid by the 10th they will attach the owners assets and liquidate the company as well as blacklist the share holders and 1 director who came on board recently and had nothing to do with the amount owing. We have 30 people employed and 7 casuals over weekends.

We pay and do not run away but as business owners know, you often sit with stock that has not yet been sold as people are losing jobs daily and sales are up and down yet the price of everything goes up all the time.

Loadshedding another big problem. It is a vicious circle.

We are not leaving this matter but will now counter act with our rights under the consumer act as well as personal accusations,slander and hostility toward us.

Schulenberg Attorneys threatened to destroy my credit rating, and then proceeded to load me as a Bad Payer to the Credit Bureau twice within minutes after each other. When I spoke to the woman she said she will issue me with a summons if I do not pay them today, and when I refused as I have a dispute with the account at the doctor, she said "Good Luck" when I called her "so - called" Manager - which I doubt was a manager as she conducted herself in an appalling kind of way, Linda Moolman - She threatened to sue me as well. I had the account for a month an was making arrangements to pay the account, when it was handed over. I am disgusted in the way this so called business conducts business.

I have been threatened by them twice and loaded as a bad payer on the credit bureau TWICE in one day.

These people are on a power trip and they think they can do as they please in order to destroy peoples lives.

I pity them as they must have miserable lives, and by destroying other peoples lives they feel somehow powerful.

I have still not received written communication of this from them, they just expect me to pay them following an abusive threatening phone call.
