This company made out a fake electronic check for $49.95 and are sending me a "secret credit card". I got a copy of the check from my bank and it is definitely a good fraud, however you can't read the phone number to call them and yell and scream and etc . The bank is going to refund my money but still the hassle of having to get the whole thing straightened out, get the money back, deal with the people who think you're a liar and nutty as well. I for one and sick of it. I have lost a lot of money to these scammers, if they get any more then they might as well take the rags I'm wearing too cause I won't be able to buy anything to replace what's gone.

Usually the bank will file a fraud complaint for you and refund your money and then go after the people, along with the proper authorities, who put this whole thing together. My bank has helped me quite a lot. Most banks follow the same procedures because of the amount of identity theft going on in our society today.

I have been ripped off by Secretcashcard.com. I did not authorized any money to be debit out of my account. When I tried to find a telephone number to get in contact with them, there were none to be found. How can we stop this scam?
I want my money back and $28.50 for NSF. Can anyone give me the number to this ripoff company?

I agree with the comments about this company. I just had an unauthorized withdrawal from this company on my account and now my bank charged us $34.00 for Non Sufficient Funds and I have read else where about this company that they will try and take the money again and on top of the $49.95 fee they have already tried to sneak out of my account they will be charging me a $25 returned check fee. This is crazy. I want my money back and this company needs to be taken down!

This company charges my checking account with a 9999 check number for $49.95 that I never authorized, I don't even know who they are. It caused a NSF and I got charged $35 dollars, they have done this two times. When I call them they refuse to help. Can I sue them?

hey you guys! they did this to me too. but i got my money back from them- go here: www.secretcashcardservice.com and they literally admit that they got your banking info from a payday cash advance site that you applied for a loan on... they say, "in order for us to get your information you had to of given permission for it to be "passed on" thats crazy!

anyways, i got a check from them for 49.95 - they also used check number 9999 and submitted a paper check (bank draft) that they made with my account info on it.

Here's what they say on their claims page:

Secret Cash Card advertises on other Web sites that collect your information, present our membership offer and then provide the ability to check YES or NO to join. Many of these sites are applications for cash advance loans. In order for us to receive your personal information you had to provide permission to pass it on. If you want we can provide the date, the site you were on and even the computer identification ( IP address) that you used.

If you believe the order was placed in error, we must confirm that you are in fact the person whose information was submitted since a Debit MasterCard was issued to you. If you incurred additional fees from your bank these can not be included in the refund amount as an order was placed and our liability is limited to the membership fee.

and this is the letter I emailed to them from their site:

Hi,

I NEVER ordered this card. Whether you have my IP address or not i would NEVER pay no 49.95 for something like this. Also your site says its a virtual card that you are given the card number to instantly - SO, if i supposedly ordered this card- WHERE is this card number? i dont have one because i never ordered one. Yes, i signed up for a cash advance payday ;loan and i gave my banking info to THEM- not you. I dont allow my info to be "passed on" no way. also- after researching you - i found that you are in search of peoples private data and use it to charge unsuspecting victims bank accounts:

dedicated.everprivate.com
Private Date Finder LLC
San Clemente
California,US
joshua@finertechnologies.com

Be fair. You know as well as I know you didnt get permission to charge my bank account this 49.95 - and I am asking nicely and respectfully that you return my money. How would you like it if this was done to you or your mother or your children? its not right, and i am so broke right now its not even funny. i tell you the truth- why else would i be getting a payday loan?
its to make my rent and car payment- and guess what? you took that 49.95 right after the payday loan posted into my bank account... its almost as if you KNEW the funds were gonna be there. I bet you all work together in this scheme, the payday loan people and dedicated everprivate in search of Private Data - like the name says, "private Data Finder" This is a very unethical way to conduct business.. dont you ever feel guilty about what you do for a living?

Please do the right thing and return my money.
I will forgive you and will not pursue any kind of action if you just kindly return my money you deducted from my checking account.

Thank you very much, I would greatly appreciate it. I truly need this money.

It's bad enough to be in the situation to need to use a Payday advance company but SecretCashCard.com seems to prey on people are trying to secure a short term loan. Then when you are already short of cash, they hit up for $50 bucks. My bank paid it along but charge me $19 because it overdrew my account.

Scam. Don't trust anything with their name. No matter how disparate you might be.

Today 1/19/2007 I went to the ATM Machine to check my bank balance, and found that it was lower than what it should be, so I contacted my bank only to find that secret cash card had obtained my information and deducted 49.95 out of my account without my permission. My bank really gave me a hard time and they or adamant about not replacing my money. First off they are wrong for accepting any kind of request to debit your account without some form of signature, wehter it be electronic or physical. They advised me to contact secret cash card, which i have done. In my e-mail to them I told them i was going to contact the Attorney General in the State of California to file a complaint [protected]). I am also trying to obtain the name of the bank they are using to make them aware of the illegal transactions they are making to steal peoples money. This bank is aiding and abetting criminal activities. Tomorrow i will contact the bank again and demand to file Federal Regulation Form E to dispute this action. We need to create a web site so that everyone of us can organize ourselves and take action as a group, writing letters, to the attorney general , the banks that are involved, our local authorities. Where one voice is generally not heard, a group is sometimes more effective. While some may think that 49.95 isn't a whole lot of money it is a lot when you have to get up every morning and stand on your feet for 8 hours every day to get it and besides it is wrong to take what is not rightfully yours. So if someone has a suggestion on how to set up this site where we can all get our signatures on one letter to distribute to these different agencies, please contact me at jeffl43@yahoo.com or [protected].

The secretcashcard also said that I authorized them to take $49.95 out of my checking account and I never did. And it cause my bank account to be over drafted and charged $30.00 for a NSF fee. I would like it if someone would be able to tell me how I could fight this and get my money back. I contacted customer service and all they could tell me is that I did authorized it and that it is only a one time fee. But I have no use for it and I don't ever know of such thing. I am going to try to seek legal rights cause this is not fair to thousands of people and nothing is being done about it.

Hi you guys~

Well check THIS out! YES, I got my refund check... It came within the 10 days (read my full post on this company where i disclose THEIR banking information and all my correspondence with them - its the 6th post down on the front page , posted by Miss JinaJamm) When you file the complaint initially, on this site:

http://www.secretcashcardservice.com

you HAVE to get ### with them and make threats...like i did... read my previous post to see the correspondence between us. They have responded every single time I sent them messages thru that link.

Don't bother calling them, the people that answer are only an answering service and don't know jack ### about the company or who they are or anything, they will not be able to provide you with any answers other than the website i just listed in order to file your complaint and refund. So don't bother asking them for help cuz they wont give it to you TRUST ME. its not that they wont or don't want to, its because they are not affiliated with SecretCashCard whatsoever and know just as much about the company as you and I do. They are merely a 3rd party answering service hired specifically to answer the ###-load of calls they obviously anticipated getting from angry pissed off victims like us. These guys know they are fraudsters... why would they have this website already set up designed specifically to take messages from the people they rip off - its already pre-filled out in the subject line on their complaint site "Tell me how I got this charge, I want to know more about how this order was placed" So obviously they KNOW that the people they are doing this to arent aware of how they got this charge.

This is because i hit the enter key when applying for a payday loan. When you search for a payday loan provider this page comes up and secretcashcard.com has already filled out your information for you. All you have to do is make the mistake of clicking next, or hitting the enter key. By doing this you are automatically signed up for a one time membership fee of 49.95. This is taken from your bank account and shows up as check 9999.

I did not authorize this charge.

I do not allow companies to use my information that i did not provide. By signing me up, it means that they have all my personal information: ( ssn, address, phone, birthdate, etc...) this is also illegal for them to use this information.

There is not a disclaimer on their site stating issues that can arise by clicking next, or hitting the enter key without knowing what is about to happen.

You cannot be binded to a contract that you did not sign.

About the refund check i got:

It looked weird to me. Plain. Like a fake check. The name of the Bank on the check was Printed simply - T Bank , Dallas TX and thats it. I aint ever heard of that bank so I looked them up and here's what I found:

http://www.denovobanks.com/hot-topics/story.asp?idstory=93

They have NO operational History whatsoever and rely on the people who open accounts to invest. Shhhiit~ with customers like
These SecretCashCard ### they arent gonna be around for long, their gonna end up Bankrupt I bet.

Check it out, I called the bank... they answer the phone right away with a live person that just says, "TBank may I help you?"

When is the last time you called a bank and got a LIVE person to answer right off the bat? All banks use automated systems to direct the customer to the right department... this bank must have only 1 department. I asked the woman to verify whether or not the check I got was good (usually, more often than not- Banks no longer disclose this information to people calling to verify funds- its a privacy issue and they dont do it anymore its policy. all they will tell you is whether or not the account is open - nothing more...) BUT this T Bank- they looked up the account number I gave them, right then and there, I could hear her typing the account number in... I can hear the tone in her voice immediately when the account name Secret Cash Card popped up on the screen... she let out a Sigh... hahaha , like she was sick of dealing with this account. she said, "Well... the check is.. well, it's... No, it's not good, you cant cash it" I was like, "WHAT?! you gotta be kidding me right ?" and she said.,. "Well, it WAS good... they have an account, the funds are in the account... But the check has had a stop payment placed on it so it wont go through if you try to cash it" ...Just watch me... I went to a check cashing place... one that cashes ANY kind of check... they call the SAME bank that I just did to verify the funds... and the chick doesnt even tell them a stop payment was placed on it.. she verify's the account and thats it... so they get it verified and are going to cash it for me, then after punching their name into their computer they hand the check back and say, "Sorry, we cant cash this check.. we've and TOO many problems with this company.. and there's a note in our computer to no longer accept their checks, " I said, but you just verified the account didnt you? " and he said yes, but still... a lot of their checks come back unpaid anyway.. they owe us too much money right now" So i took it to my bank who cashed it for me anyway, even after they told me that they never paid Secret Cash Card the 49.95 they denied the debit so they never got my money- It just showed the transaction being attempted, but then reversed. But my bank cashed that sucker anyway... and the reason they put a stop payment on it was because they realized after they mailed me the check that My bank reversed the charge and they didn't get any money. So i got over on them I guess, the bank of America put it through knowing that they didn't pay em'. here's a page from google that has more information on this bank: t bank dallas

Also here is a link given by the attorney generals office to file complaints against Banks who are refusing to reverse the charges for the unauthorized debits made by secretcashcard. They HAVE to submit your claim , its not negotiable, its mandatory. I also found out that the credit back to your account is NEVER denied if you sign an affidavit. That affidavit is submitted to the merchant and by law they HAVE to turn over the funds to put back in your account, its not a question of will they; that affidavit is your guaranteed ticket for the credit reversal, once the credit is given back to your account they begin conducting the investigation as to whether or not you authorized this transaction. If for some reason they find irrefutable evidence that you did authorize it, they will then charge back or debit this provisional credit, but not before the investigation is coimplete which takes about 15 days, longer if circumsatnces arrise, but you will always get the credit back first, and that is a definite fact. If your bank is refusing to do this then you ask them for a Federal Regulation E Form .Let them know that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks
you can find out which by going here:

http://www.bos.frb.org/consumer/spotlight/complaint.htm

continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Banks :

Federal :
Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC)
(Administrator of National Banks)
Link: http://www.occ.treas.gov/

State :
Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) FDIC
Link: http://www2.fdic.gov/idasp/

You WILL get your money back! Just BE PERSISTENT with the BANK- they are the ONLY ones who can get it if SecretCashCard Doesnt Send you a refund!

I Got my money back from BOTH!

Good Luck Ya'll !

I TOO was taken by this DEVIL (EVIL) Company - SECRET CASH CARD SERVICE - I don't even remember if I was applying for a Payday loan HOWEVER I do know that I DID NOT by any form of communication sign up for this bogus A -@ company! I called them this morning and I too received a woman who asked that I contact them on the web regarding a refund. After I so politely (NOT) let the "customer service" rep have it, I did tell her that if I did not receive a COMPLETE refund, I would be prosecuting them to the fulliest extent of the law. There HAS to be some privacy law out there that does not allow companies such as this to invade on peoples personal data like your bank account. I was charged the $49.95 fee along with a $32.00 over draft fee. Tell me something, if we are all on this site supposedly requesting a loan, why would be authorizing a company to TAKE money from our accounts? Does any of that make sense to any of you? It did not to me and that was the same thing that I told them. I've noted my calendar to follow up with these people twice a day until they refund me my money. I've also made it very clear that I am representing the other hard-working citizens that this company has so hap hazardly taken money from. I am like the one gentleman who stated his comment above. What about these people who are taking this money from people's account. What if it happened to them? A parent who was living on social security, a sibling or a partner who is living on disability or any other partial monies. I am furious that this type of injustice is allowed to happen - They WON'T get away with it. WE AS CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. I say to everyone that has not gotten their refund and what is rightfully owed them which is their overdraft fee should contact this company EVERYDAY! Call them when you get a break - email them every chance you get. Annoy the you know what out of them until they are tired of all the complaints. I know that I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau so that they can be added to the long list of other AWFUL companies out there. Thank you for allowing me to vent and for listening. WE WILL OVERCOME THIS INJUSTICE!

On December 27, 2006, secretcashcard.com deducted $49.95 out of my 5 year old son's social security account. I knew nothing about it until I received the bank statement on January 23. The bank said that they made a check with my name on it and submitted it to the bank for payment. This isn't even my account. This place is a scam, it is so secret that the customer doesn't even know about it. I never signed up for any thing, I never even heard of these people, so how they got my son's account number is beyond me. I want my money back and these people need to be stopped.

I totally agree with everyone on this. As I looked into my account this morning I found the same transaction of 49.95 debited form my account with the check number 9999. I DID NOT authorize this transaction nor did I sign up for this card. I have tried calling the numbers i have gotten a hold of and can't speak to any supervisors nor persons willing to help. I have not even much received any info on what to do about this. I called my bank and they stated that they cannot file a claim bc we had given our personal information out on the web and it is pretty much hands down on that. So... I am trying to find out what I can do here to get my money back. Somehow we all need to get together and get this company!

The only thing I can tell you the last e-mail I sent them ,I told them that I was going to file a claim with the Cali9fornia attorney general and the BBB. That is when they sent me the refund site address. Some of you have put the site address in you comments, but it didn't work for me until that sent it to me . Then i had to cut and paste it my browser. Keep sending them e-mails till they give you the refund address. I sent 10 in one day. Waiting on the check to come so I will see what happens. They said that since the $49.95 had not come out of my account that they would cancel "my account" and it would no longer be a problem. Granted I have this in a e-mail. Well last night my account went into negative 30$ NSF and $49.95 from them. I wrote them back and they said that it is not their problem and if I wanted a refund at this point to fill out the refund form. I told them no, they need to put the money back in my account. Long story short. I got nasty with them. I work in the IT field as a ISA and I don't play games with idiot's like them. The down fall is I am just coming off of a short term disability and I thought I would check out a payday loan and that is how I found out about these scam artists. To make a long story short they tried to pull how they have my IP address etc etc and I told them that I have their "header" information from their email, the location of their host for the website, the supposed address in Canada that is related to their web hosting / money scam, information on their parent company Private Data Finder sounds like another scam huh? Anyways I threatened to bring in the IC3 and Secret Service because it was now dealing with banks etc... Next thing you know I got an email saying they were giving me a refund for the 49.95 not the whole 79.95. So I told them it is the whole amount and I want it drawn on a USPS money order not a company check. Like I would trust a check from them? yeah right! Anyways these guys are idiots this a very condensed version of my story but even after I get my refund I am still following through and filing complaints against them. I don't like scam's and thieves... :)

I have an update from my earlier post. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with these people. What this company is doing is illegal. It does not matter WHAT they say. This is not a third party website this is actually dealing with the US Government. But wait it gets better. Now Monday through Friday you can call [protected] for the InterFraud Watch. 8:00 to 5:30pm EST. File a complaint with them. The FTC said to do so. I was also instructed to call my local law enforcement and file a police report and report identity theft because that is what this falls under. So I did. When you call the FTC they will give you a reference number. Hold on to all of this information. I was also told to call Equifax and put a watch on my credit reports. [protected]. Equifax will report this to all of the credit agencies.

Federal Trade Commission. Report the crime to the FTC. Include your police report number. Although the FTC does not itself investigate identity theft cases, they share such information with investigators nationwide who are fighting identity theft.

Call the FTC's Identity Theft Hotline: (877) IDTHEFT [protected])
Or use its online identity theft complaint form: www.consumer.gov/idtheft
Or write: FTC Identity Theft Clearinghouse, 600 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington, DC 20580.
The FTC's uniform fraud affidavit form is available at

www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/affidavit.pdf

This is how to nail these ###. I have spent all day investigating into this. What I do for a living is not important but well it pays off :) I have filed complaints with my financial institution as well and they are filing their own charges. I did not get involved with their end of things. I did get involved with the security department of my bank with filing the affidavit's etc.

Yes I was told the same thing that they have my IP address. I requested the information. It was declined. I was in a bind and thought I would try out the payday advance. To be re-directed to
a website and have your information auto-populated. Is illegal. (I am not an attorney this is only
from what I have been told) If any of my information is incorrect I am using this is as my disclaimer,
however all of my resources have come from government agencies or references from them.

I hope this helps.
