I am really upset now! I appear to be a victim of this Serenity Travel ordeal. I believe I just did a stupid thing. I purchaed this membership this Saturday. I am usually a person that if it sounds too good to be true, it is person, but wanting to save on vacations is important to me and I thought this was the answer. Now that I see the comments, I feel so sick. I do not know what to do. ONe thing I am not clear about is what exactly is the scam. Is it that once you join you are not able to book the kind of vacation you want? Is the quality of the vacation places or discounts at underscale places? Is it that you make reservations, pay the money and you do not get what you paid for or never get it at all? I am unclear of what the real issues are with this company. I hope someone will respond and help me out. I placed a call with the AG office today, but I am waiting for them to call me back. I cannot believe I have been so stupid. I do everything I can to make good decisions, but this time I gave in because of the despiration of loving to vacation and wanting discount rates a great locations. Can someone answer my questions.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I was ahead of you by four months in purchasing a membership, and now regret the decision. Futher, I am 6 months behind you in finding out how bad this really is. All incentives were non-starters - did not get the "gift" card rebates, nor the 3 day-2night gettaway vacation. But did get my registration fee back from those scams. They both had more rules and restrictions than any of the airlines could ever think of imposing. They trip arrangers fiddle around with "lost' mail notifications and blackout dates to a point that by the time you find a suitable date that you can take time off work, it is too close to expiration and they will not honor your request.
Hoping some relief and resolution from the AG's office as, two months after our 'sale' I find the company was dropped from the BBB and served with a ceast and desist order. Now they are gone - only a customer service number that roles to an answering machine. Let's see if they call back.
They scam you by giving you the login AFTER the 5-day deadlineto cancel. So by the time you find out that the discount doesn't cover the membership fees, it's too late to cancel .
I am sorry you got hit with That, the company that scammed you is Serenity Travel Club Not Serenity Travel Agency in Largo Florida. I get these calls all the time and I wish I knew how to stop this because it is ruined this and people think my wife and I are involved, there are only 2 of us here at Serenity Travel and we are not a club and do not do memberships.
