No one picks up the phone
I've been trying to call Sicily By car for the past hour. No one picks up the phone!

Dears,
At Catania airport, I did not receive the car because they did not accept my Debit Card.
This has caused me many problems; however, in terms of refounding the already paid money, I was told to call in the UK and talk directly with the broker asking for refounding.
I have been calling the UK office, but the number does not exist. I also called the Catania office and left a recorded message, but no answer.
please note that i have also purchased the full coverage insurance for additional 42 USD
Kindly let me know how to solve this issue since I did not use the car, and I am asking to be refunded or given a coupon of the equivalent money I can use next time I book a vehicle.

Charged on my credit card 61€ for 3 times for paper work.
The plate number of the vehicle I have rented is FW685PK with your Company from 30/10/2019 12.29 to 05/11/2019 11.05 (rental agreement [protected] ).picked up from Bologna airport and dropped it of at Bergamo airport.
I have been Charged on my credit card 61€ for 2 times for paper work, about fines that I have never received through mail and now your are telling me that I will be charged one more time the same amount for the same reason (paper work for a fine). I have rented a car last October 2019 and I was supposed to received the mailed fines by now but nothing has Never arrived to my address.
Please let me know if there is really one or more fines, otherwise I am asking for a refund!

Dear all,
We had a rental contact with you in january 2020 and we had a damage consisting in a broken windscreen. You have all the details in the attached invoice and rental forms.
Although you charged us for the windscreen, we didn't receive any invoice in order to be able to go the insurance broker that we paid when we reserved the car online.

I rented a car through sicily by car in October in Catania airport. I was charged a deposit which upon returning the car I was told will be returned to my account in 7 days. It's been 3 weeks and nothing. I have sent emails and no respond. Horrible company. Not sure how should I proceed now. I'm not in Italy anymore. It seems like a fraud to me and regret I have ever used them.

I rented a car from the Milan airport on August 10th through August 17th. The car was paid in full and everything was ok when it was returned.
This past week, I have 2 charges on my credit card bill from Sicily by Car which must be a mistake. Can you please look into this and respond?

First off this was sent to junk - this should be clear who the email is from.
Secondly the mail is in Italian - how am I suppose to understand this?
Thirdly after checking my credit card statement, I have been charged twice for supposed admin fees on my credit card - £54.42 & £54.24.
I would not even have found out if I did not check my credit card statement daily!
Can someone contact me and tell me why I have been charged these amounts!?

I want someone to resolve this asap and refund me both amount due to the terrible communication from your side.

Apparently I received a traffic violation returning to the airport at the end of my rental.
Rental contract no. [protected], date 18/09/2019 17.25, vehicle number plate FW408VR
However the information came from a completely unrecognisable address

and as a result went into junk email - it was only by chance that I discovered it, but as a result I missed the opportunity to pay the reduced rate for the fine (now paid) and it was an additional 60 Euros.
Your communication should be clear its from Sicily by Car and I would request that you waive the 50 Euro administration charge to compensate for the additional cost caused by your poor communication.

I'm in Sardinië for business and I've rented a car from 12/10/2019 till 19/10/2019. Because my business took longer than expected I need the car 4 days longer, so till 23/10/19. I had to trie 2 days to reach someone at Olbia airport, but nobody ever picked up the phone there. If I called to the general number they said I had to call to Olbia airport, or they tried to connect me to Olbia airport. As this also didn't work and after 2 days of trying to reach someone at Olbia, I asked to someone at your general number if somebody could please help met to get an extension of my car rental. This person then finally helped me but told me that he couldn't give a pricing as I had to contact Olbia airport for that. But he assured me that someone from Olbia airport would contact me later that day. Nobody ever contacted me, but I assumed everything was ok. I also have send an email, but no reaction on that either. Tonight (21/10/19) I get a phonecall from Sicily by car (from Roberta), to ask why I didn't return the car today. I explained the whole situation and said that I told them that I needed the car till Wednesday. The lady (Roberta) told me this was possible and she was going to check the extra cost for these 4 days. She told me that the extra 4 days of rental will cost me 178, 67€. I almost fell over when I heard the amount that I had to pay extra. For the first 7 days of rental I've only paid 105, 35€ and now for 4 extra days she's charging me 178, 67€. This must be a mistake as this is almost double as what I paid for the 7 days of rental. Please confirm that this is a mistake and send me the normal pricing. It can't be possible that this extra cost is correct. As I travel a lot for business I rent several cars during the year, it is however the first time that I rent a car at your company. Hopefully this is one big misunderstanding and can you correct this error by the time I am going to hand over my car next Wednesday 23/10/19.

Today i have been charged for 157.4 Euro for a rental car (dated June 2019)
I need to know more information about these extra charges since i haven't received any email explaining these fees taken on your behalf.
Once i delivered the car i was informed that no extra fees will be charged and i have paid a larger amount than expected, and today i get a notification that "sicily by car" has withdrawn the stated amount from my visa card.

sbc does not return the deposit for more than a month
I rented a car through Sicily by Car rental company 12.09.2019. To my surprise I was additionally charged 360 eur for 12 days rental period (20 eur per day) since I used debit card instead of credit card. Plus I was made to pay 300 eur as deposit. I decided not to use the car for all the period and returned it 14.09.2019 (in 2 days) and I was said that the rest of my extra charge (300 eur) plus deposit 300 eur should be transferred to my card account during 10 working days. After more than 1 month I have not still received my 600 eur!
I have already written to 3 e-mail addresses but there is no any answers. The last e-mail address that I received from SbC employee by phone is customer.service@sbc.it but there is no reply for more than 4 days.

I had a very poor experience at the Fiumicino location this past August. The third party vendor had been very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. In addition to their efforts I emailed a complaint directly to the Rome office and head office a month ago and have not received a reply. I would like the name and contact information for the company's owner.

I hired a car from Alghero Airport in July. I received a different car from the one I book. After paying an extra insurance i gave back the car in perfect conditions. 3 days after, I receive a mail with pictures took many hours after I gave the car back, telling that due some scratches I should pay 215€ from the 300€ deposit I left there.
I wrote back telling that when I gave back the car those scratches where no there (the pictures had the time printed) and i send the pictures I took when I left the car.
No complain was resolve and now, more thatn 2 months after I didn´t receive back any part of my deposit. Nobody pick up the phone.
Neither my 300€ or the difference with the money they wont to charge came back to my account.
electronic key malfunction and charges due to it
26.09.2019 I have rented a car with Sicily by car in Cagliari. On my arrival the car was not the requested one and we found no one to inspect the car before departure.
24h later the electronic key stop working and on the return of the car 29.09 2019 we had been charged 350 euro without full diagnosis or inspection of the key.
This has been explained as a standard procedure for any malfunction of the key. I don't believe this justify the extremely high cost as we did not misused it.

I rented a car in Naples Italy for one night - it did not have a full tank of gas when I rented it and this was noted on the check out form - I was told return it with same amount of gas. I drove the car one night - 70 km. Returned it next morning after adding about 2 liters of gas (3 euro). Check in lady at airport said everything was fine, deposit was returned. COuple of days later I see a charge from the company on my credit card. I booked through booking.com and asked them what the charge was for and was told it was for refueling. I called Sicility by Car - got a person who told me they had to put 20 liters of gas in car. I asked for copy of frattura for the refueling and a copy of the final reciept to see the odometer for my check out and check in (to show how many kilometers the car had been driven) He tells me he can't help and to email customer. service@sbc. it I emailed every day for a week with no response.
