Like others have reported, this company tries market themselves as Macfee through deceptive Google Adwords campaigns. They tried to con my wife into paying them $299 to remove a "virus" on a brand new computer. My wife was just trying to transfer her Macfee subscription to the new computer. They insisted on removing the "virus" because it was hiding in the network. After I found out about this I call the company & demanded a refund, but they refused.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Interesting story. In my experience, when I purchased a new computer ( my subscription with Norton still had several months to go before expiring) I could not get it transferred to my new one. The guy in the computer shop actually told me that they don't do that, and he was right. So I had to star a whole new subscription with Macafee. I don't think any of the security companies will transfer any remaining amounts, even if it's still within their company! Unfair practice. (Almost bordering on stealing!)
