I always try to educate myself when making any purchase. After shopping online for some time now I keep reading finding sellers auctions where the seller proclaimed that they were a proud member of the purse forum. Out of curiosity, I did some research to see was required for me to qualify for a purse forum membership. The results of my research was surprising.
Purse Forum Member Qualifications:
Know how to use a computer
Have an email account
Knowledge? (not sure - No online test, no past experience required, seems like my dog can be a member?)
Just register for an account and wala... you could be a member of the purse forum too. My kind of qualifications!

Ok, so now I am a member, what does it do for me?
Read articles on how to authenticate
get opinions
talk bags
jump on the bandwagon when trashing a seller.
Become a member of the judge and jury
Tout my purse forum membership when asking for a discount (didn't do a thing for getting a better price, actually seemed to turn the seller off).
OOO aahhh,
bump alot
jump on another trash that seller band wagon
go in cognition and promote my own stuff
talk about others in the backroom

Research:
In my research I found that there are those who despise the purse forum.
I about fell off my chair when I read the article that the purse forum members acted like a bunch of wet cats. It was actually a hilarious post where a group from another forum found the purse forum and could not believe they were attacking someone. Their conversation went to talk about something else but every once in awhile, someone from the forum would check in for what seems like a good laugh at these forum members. The comments were hilarious. "they are still dining over there"... more conversation... "wow, 3 days later and they are still feasting...more conversation... then someone made the comment... they act like a bunch of wet cats. ROFLMAO, I still giggle at that one.
I have read articles about their Mob Mentality / Herd Mentality
Read how one seller was a member under cover who was promoting their own company by asking questions and linking to their bags, the article read that the same uncover member also asked if their bag was authenticated then came in as another member and authenticated the bag. It went on to say that it was easy to figure out. just spell the member name backwards. Also read about the take down of a seller who tried to defend themselves and when they posted, the post was edited. Oh the clucking chickens comment was also hilarious.

Anyway, all out of fun.. If anyone is wondering whats all this Proud Member of the Purse Forum about. Here is more from my research.

Totally agree with everything you have written. I have just been onto the Purse Forum again after a few months & noticed that a member, "wuselmurphy" has admitted to contacting buyers who have purchased Prada handbags on eBay, i.e. they go into the sellers feedback & contact the buyers to advise them that they have purchased a fake bag. Is this not a violation as far as eBay is concerned?

Certainly there are some unsavory members of tPF. But, I used to be a member there, and found that MOST members who authenticate are genuine in their efforts to assist others and give educated OPINIONS about authenticity. OPINION, being the key word. Read the opinions given and then make your own decision.
The facebook page you linked http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=136452816381369&ref=mf is owned by someone who has sold fake bags. Look at her Balenciaga clutches that she sold. These are OBVIOUS fakes, look at the tags. http://www.legoodiecloset.com/search/label/Balenciaga
What you have missed in your readings is the current scammer on tPF, a personal friend of Megs & Vlad (tPF owners), who has been scamming other tPF members with fraudulant jewelry sales for years. Read about tPF's bloved friend "Japster", aka futurefashionista.com, and how she was promoted by Megs and Vlad and sold inferior over-priced merchandise to many other fellow tpfers. Or, of recent, sold merchandise and never shipped anything at all!

It is shameful that so many members have been scammed by this seller Japster, "valued tPF member and trusted friend" of the site owners. Be careful who you trust!

...and the beat goes on. It is good to see so many are aware of this hideous scam . There are getting to be so many discussions popping up on the internet, about the tpf and the ebay purse forum.

I just feel sorry for the poor gals that are being fooled and scammed. i know how it feels, and it is no fun. Then soon as you speak up or defend yourself, you are ganged up on.

It's all coming out in the wash, like it always does. Sooner or later they will choke on their own words, lies and scams. Liars and thieves always tear their own selves down. It's kind of funny to watch happen, actually.

Yes, there are hundreds of complaints against Purse forum. Their latest debacle being that their longtime advertiser BLUEFLY was caught AGAIN selling fake Balenciaga and Gucci. And OH how the ADMIN defend BF and threaten their members about being sued for accusations they (the members make online, and throw both members and PF authenticators under the bus (YET AGAIN). OH MY, CYA much?

I am a member of The Purse Forum- not proud of it, nor ashamed of it, just a member who finds the threads which authenticate items useful to back up my own thoughts on bags I've bought. I thought The Purse Forum was alright actually, until I found a thread slamming Fashionphile- a site which I've bought 2 great bags from (a vintage Chanel and a Prada), both of which could not have been more obviously authentic (2 of the most beautiful bags I have ever seen). I explained that the postage was quick, they're customer service was great (receiving replies to my queries quickly) and that the bags were beautiful, I also pointed out that the few people slamming Fashionphile were continuously repeating their unfortunate experiences over and over in numerous posts and that complaining about a fault that they even admitted was either mentioned in the description or shown in pictures, or the price (don't buy it if you don't like the price) were silly to do so and that these things did not make a company bad, and then they went bat-###-crazy at me. It was really pathetic actually, I hadn't been rude at all, just pointed out what was obvious and another member agreed with me. The better part though is that these other members live in the US and were complaining about problems with communication- I live in England and all my phone calls were received and dealt with despite the receiver's and my own accent getting in the way for both of us. They even called me back when they needed to look things up for me and did research on similar bags for me as well as taking additional photos of a bag for me that I later decided was not for me. I was really annoyed with the members of The Purse Forum in this thread actually- especially when they reported my posts because I mentioned that I do think they are quite "pathetic"- they're voicing their opinions really abruptly and aggressively, why can't I voice mine politely?

I'm a long-time tPF member but use it primarily for reference and research, especially regarding styles, colors, leathers, etc.. I do not participate in most of the online gab fest and self-congratulatory posts... they seem to consist of little more than patting each other on the back. I have encountered some nice members but others -- particularly in the Hermes forum -- are rude, condescending and snobbish. They clearly don't have anything better to do than pretend they are Queen for a Day. I also have encountered some sellers who tried to use tPF as some sort of valid credentialing. It is not; the authentications are simply amateurs' volunteers opinion, albeit some are very experienced at it. If you aren't paying for the authentication and have a letter in hand to that effect, don't count on its validity. Caveat emptor always...

Agree 100%! I use tPF for research mainly and to ask an occasional question about how particular styles, leathers or colors are working out for owners and to become better informed. Not a bad thing! Their reference library is extremely helpful. The Hermes forum is the worst! Catty? Yes. Spoiled brats. Absolutely! But some of the authenticators and participants in other forums are very personable and seem to try to help.

Same here I only check in to tpf once in a while to find out whats new out there, never ask for authentication from members. I paid bababebi for her “in my opinion” expertise. Same with all those FB group chat where people busy asking other members whether their second hand bag is real or fake. Come on, be sensible!

I travel with a bag over my shoulder baggallini review; it’s much more convenient than a simple lady’s shoulder bag. Hands are free. I have a small one, but there is enough space for everything you need: a phone, a camera, a wallet. And I always keep a bag in my bag, for water, jacket, and other staff. I never traveled with a backpack, I can’t imagine how it hangs from behind and anyone can come and open it...

Good afternoon! I am now thinking about purchasing a new suitcase. Due to the large assortment on the market, I have some doubts! Which one is better? Plastic or fabric? On 2 or 4 wheels? On a zipper or on locks? Which company manufactures? Which size is preferable? If there are experts, share your experience! What can you say about this https://coolbagsclub.com/delsey-luggage-reviews/?
