A letter i wrote to Tourneau but still have not heard a ressponse
I recently purchased a pre-owned Breitling Super ocean for $2695 from your Cabazon store in CA.. I live in Woodland Hills, Ca when purchasing the watch i was assured any issues i may have i can deal with my local Tourneau store in Woodland Hills. The watch was purchased 10/18 and since then i have brought the watch to my local store 3 times now and everytime rather then sending the watch to breitling they say they do quality control and the issue is fixed when its not..
WRONG the issue has not been fixed. So today i get fed up and tell them to send the watch to breitling and provide me with a work order and the service manager says he cant and will send it directly to the tourneau repair center. I know breitling does not allow you guys to open their watches other then at their repair center. So i spoke with the store manager who is quite a few months pregnant and seemed very agitated i asked to return the watch for store credit and i was going to purchase a Breitling Emergency that i saw you guys had pre-owned at this local store. The manager says i cant return the watch however i can take it as a trade in, i said fine and she then states i am only allowed to give you $1600 are u kidding me this watch is less then a month old as has not worked properly since i purchased and now i have to take a loss on the watch you guys are ridiculous. Why would i ever do that. Rather then making extra money in a time when this nation is in crisis you deny it. Keep in mind there was NOT 1 person in the store while i was.
So after reluctantly having to agree to send my watch to Tourneau repair rather then Breitling direct. And not being able to return my watch for store credit or being able to return the watch at all i have to now suffer 3-6 weeks for you guys to fix it when you guys are not supposed to touch the watch. What kind of service is this?
After calling Tourneau corporate office they asked for me to call the store and ask for the regional managers number and the rep on the phone refused to give it to me.. Please keep in mind i have purchased 2 watches from you guys in the past a Tourneau Safari & a Omega Seamaster. I will probably not be doing business with your company again.
Please have a manager contact me right away to further discuss this issue.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
We are filing a complaint on Tourneau located in the Houston Galleria with the Texas Attorney Generals office for violation of the Deceptive Trade Act.. Today is Christmas Day and my partner opened his present and discovered the Gondolo 5111G Patek Philippe white gold is tarnished and the leather band appears to be used. I paid $21, 100.00 for this NEW watch on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Tourneau sales associate took the watch in the back office to clean and wrap before I signed the sales slip. The watch was presented to me as a new watch and not a used watch, therefore it is disappointing to discover these defects. I am considering legal action against Tourneau company. This has ruin our Christmas day and I have found Tourneau's deceptive sales tactics undesirable. I have personally contacted Philippe Stern, President, Patek Philippe. I have contacted the Simon Mall REIT with the deceptive sales Tourneau is conducting in their Galleria property. I have contact my attorney to file the needed legal recourse to end Tourneau's terror in Texas. I will take all media avenues to stop their deceptive practices. Also, American Express has been contacted.

Our Attorney advised us to rid ourselves of this company completely. He instructed us not to accept an exchange from Tourneau. So, this afternoon we arrive at the Houston Galleria Tourneau store and was given a complete run around from store managers. We were first told that we could not exchange nor have our money returned. Then the conversation became very heated. Please bare in mind that the store is packed with customers the day after Christmas. We raised our voices to notify these crooks that what they are doing is deceptive trade. I let them know that the watch shown to me before they took the watch in the back room for gift wrapping was new and not used and did not have a damage white gold casing. We will explain in court if need be that they knew and liberatively placed a damaged used watch in the box and gift wrapped it so to rid themselves of a damaged watch. These crooks even stamped the sale receipt with "exchanged or returns allowed". The "No" was omitted off the slip. This omission of the "No" is so they can slip it by the customer. After a very heated verbal exchange occurred and 99% of the customers in the store ran out as fast as their feet could carry them then the manager agreed to credit my American Express Card. This store needs to be OUT of TEXAS. We Texans do not like thugs. Tourneau is scamming the public. Tourneau has very serious flaws in the ethics arena. Tourneau even states on their webpage that customers have a 30 day return policies just as long the merchandise as not been worn. This conflicts with their denials that the watch was new and is new. Then why are they denying a return of our monies. This should show that these people are thieves to the fullest extent.

I've tried to shop at Tourneau twice now and i will never recommend anyone to go shop at this chain retailer. They are CROOKS and RIP OFFS! They are not competetive with their prices at all and they wont even honor their coupons. They are only for people like Donald Trump. NEVER SHOP AT TORNEAU!
Ian,
I'm having a similar situation with the Fashion Valley store in San Diego. Breitling want $200 to fix my watch (the minute hand came loose) I've had for 18 months. Claiming the work doesn't fall under the warranty casue the watch has stratches and dings. So, am I just supposed to buy the watch and put it in a case where it will never get stratched instead of the active lifestyle they depict in their promo! The staff their was disrespectful and rude, and this is the 5th watch we've purchased from them. I wrote corporate an email (corporatesalesdiv@tourneau.com) and hopefully my situation will get resolved. I suggest you do the same.
