I arrived at the ER by ambulance from my PCP appointment, presenting with a range of concerning symptoms including immobility, dyspnea, slurred speech, tingling face and throat, left-side tingling and tremors, worsened vision, extreme weakness of head and arms, loss of coordination, grunting, sweating, increased breathing rate, elevated heart rate, and confusion. These episodes require my spine to be in a specific "shopping cart" position while laying down to alleviate my symptoms.
My experience upon arrival was unfortunately stressful. I felt on the brink of passing out due to oxygen deprivation, which was reflected in my blood tests showing high carbon dioxide levels. It was evident that I was in respiratory distress, a condition exacerbated by neuromuscular disorders. Regrettably, there appeared to be a lack of recognition for these signs in my case.
Furthermore, the official ER Physician report seemed to not accurately capture the severity of my condition and symptoms. This recurring issue leaves me feeling that information might be altered to protect the hospital's interests, which adds to the distress of dealing with the facility during emergencies.
While I understand that emergencies can be complex and challenging to address, I believe that clear communication, accurate reporting, and timely recognition of critical conditions are paramount in ensuring patient trust and safety.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively and contributes to improvements in the quality of care provided at your Emergency Room Department. In the future, please check vital capacity in these instances
Desired outcome: Correct my ER Physican Report, and stop allowing falsification of records
