First of all! I live in Norway!. Why am I getting sms scams from the UK!?
I recieved this sms 8 o'clock this morning: "Congratulations! Your cellphone number won £2 million pounds in the Mobile Uk Promo. Promo code: UKMBL. To claim send email to: [protected]@ukmobilelottouk.com"

I called the number to ask why they contacted me...only answering machine!
I checked the number from the sender of the sms on google. check it out!: http://www.workbidder.ie/users/adhome/ ITs a freaking contracting business! nothing to do with lotto what so ever!
if u need pic of this sms answer me on this thread.

And to Austria they sent an SMS yesterday with .. "Congratulations! Your mobile number has won 2 million pounds in the UK Mobilelotto awards to claim email claims@ukmobilelotto.org.uk Quote claim code UKA11EN" note that the exclaimation mark is the only interpunction used apart from the domain name.

hey guys, got a text a few days ago as well-but not for 2 mill it was only 400, 000 pounds i followed it threw with a few incorrect details and made a new email and after several emails back and forth it ended up asking for 24, 824 baht about 800 australian dollars for the reason of tax duty or something like that. just wondering if their is anything that can be done about this. my heart goes out to the people that fork out that much money to a scam.

Hi from Israel,

Got a text a few days ago. Sending text: "Your cellular was selected by UK Mobile Awards and given a Ref: UK07 for 1.000.000 GBR. Contact Mr. Foster on Email: cagtmbl@gmx.com for more info".

I decided to check out, sent a letter to the specified e-mail. Two days later I received a clear instruction pimo thing to do, and a period of 14 days. Which points to the fact that if I is not declared as pobiditel, then 14 days later my winnings canceled.

What do you say to that? A new approach .. ? Another scam?

I live in the USA and received the same message except it was a text from an email address, not a phone number?

Your mobile number was selected as the winner of TWO MILLION POUNDS with Winning No:17 xx xx xx For claims, Email: infouk@mobileclaims.org

I emailed saying, "do not flood my phone with spam!" And received a response saying "this prize is for all countries, due to the world wide economic crisis, fill out your name, address, sex, age" etc

So annoying that they got my mobile number?!

Live in Canada and received message on mobile phone indicated they had drawn my mobile number winning a £2000000. Request a fee of approximately £450-500 for delivery. Delivery was thru Antron Express International Courier. Package was to contain cheque, mobile phone and computer. No money sent. What a scam! Time to shut them down!

Wow, this UKMobile Lotto scam is still going around the world. I received a text message on my mobile phone today, 22 Feb 2018, in Malaysia where I live. I quote "Alert!: Your Mobile No is Selected as winner of £2750000 on UKMobile Lotto. Go to www.coolfeb.net (for me this is a telltale sign of a scam as it did not even pretend to direct me to a similar sounding UK Mobile website) to claim. enter Ref:AU564718812. helpline: info.ukmobile@cash4u (a bit of ingenuity here but it doesn't really come across as a very official though)" Note : my comments are in brackets per the quoted message received. Sender didn't even introduce himself/herself - another telltale sign. Here is the mobile # of the scammer : +[protected].
