I attended UEI a few years ago in hopes to maintain a long term career. When I initially started, I began in medical assistance, but I was still exiting the foster system at the time. I quickly exited the program due to homelessness and was then told to pay for my short time there. I paid them and for years they continued to harass me for money I already paid to this day, but because they lost the records of my payment they keep coming back to say I didn't pay them meanwhile threatening to send it to collections while saying I probably paid a scam company knowing they are the scam company. Before I knew they were going to be a problem, I switched to the dental assistance program that several of their employees pressured me into joining saying how much more money I would make. On the first day the president insisted that they guaranteed us jobs which is why they say otherwise now. The entire time there I was sexually harassed, bullied by classmates, bullied by the instructor, and when I tried to bring up the situation of all of it they threatened to kick me out if I discussed it with anyone or attempted to sue them knowing they were in the wrong every time. The instructor at one point threw a tantrum and I showed evidence of her lying while the president was speechless witnessing that the instructor lied in front of her. Nothing was ever done and I was trapped in their loans. The education itself was worthless. Every single day I was there I heard "none of this applies in the real world". I paid thousands for a job that I wasn't going to be qualified for because they don't teach you anything useful knowing that modern dentistry is not being applied. For my hours of training I was sent to the WORST offices and doctors possible. There were doctors that were sexually inappropriate, practicing in dangerous situations that exposed patients to disease, and doctors that were illegally underpaying. Each time a situation occurred I would immediately report it to the school, but the school didn't care and made it seem as if I was the problem. I witnessed countless offices being inappropriate, abusive, and misleading. I have gained nothing but debt and trauma from going to UEI. I had the grades. I attended even when I was suffering with a medical condition that they would not excuse. I did everything and more to receive an education and instead took every chance to try to kick me out for their wrong doings. Once I graduated, they were even less helpful. I have not worked in dental for years now because the education I receive made me ineligible and unqualified to work anywhere else.
Desired outcome: Repay the loans for the education I did not receive.
