I'm upset because of the way they are working, how is it possible that my sister request a Visa for her 2 kids just to come and visit Disney world, we were going to pick up the kids in Bogota, Colombia so they didn't have to travel alone and this employee in booth 18 decide to not give the Visa to 2 little kids that just have the fantasy to come and see where we live for the past 15 yrs. Also being extremely rude, i strongly believe that a Representative of this country should not treat people in a discriminate way, if they decide to take the job or position in a foreign country do it well or don't do it at all. If they want to be rude come and work here for public assistance with all this people who wants to live off the benefits that this amazing country can offer.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Hooah! I hear your pain and frustration ma'am I have had the same experience at the Colombia's US Embassy, it kind of throws you off guard, US Embassy abroad=no English spoken ? I wonder how they get those jobs and if the people working at the embassies are even Americans because they sure don't seem like it, not to mention how rude they are too, ever notice how they do not have name tags either?, so who the hell can you complain about in regards to someone's lack of professionalism if they refuse to give you their name when you ask for it, they are a freaking joke! Just like you did I am serving the country under the DoD and I am a hooah soldier, always respect others, I mean you have to consider our pay check comes from the people we serve, why no be nice to them at least.
I would like to turn US government attention to the US embassy in Uzbekistan. Personally, I had three times of interview experience and other my relatives had visited US embassy 5 times. I paid $131 interview fee and now it is $150. When I pay that much money I hope at least to see some respect but. Every time when you come in to that embassy, they create environment by which they want to say: “you are from third world country, we hate you!”. Every time when I been at the interview I’ve watched how employees on the other side of the booth are so arrogant and rude to us. They don’t listen to us. When we try to say something they turn they back to us and leave us. I would like to ask US government, please send more professional and intelligent people to your Uzbekistan embassy. Thanks!
Look at the e-mail that I recieved from the embassy in Bahdad...arrogant Mother Fuuckers
Mr. Ryan:
No need for insults. We apologize if we thought your answer could have easily been solved by a simple use of Google search or our website at http://iraq.usembassy.gov/consular/us.html or www.travel.state.gov -> Country Specific Information. If you need us to hold your hand through that process, please let us know.
I was just asking for an acknowledgement that they recieved my e-mail. I was hoping for a little support from them, being in a potentially hostile country. Isn't that their job? To support American Citizens and military personnel?
the embassy of the U.S. in the Dominican Republic is useless. The above has happened to me also. very rude. I went to have my V.A. Pension sent direct deposit. They told me that i could only send it to Banco Popular. I have my S.S. Sent to my Bank Scotibank. Why can i not send the V.A. Check to the same. I support 2 people beside myself and do not want to open another account in Banco Popular. I contested this with the V.A. and now my pension has not been sent since March 2012. I asked the V.A. and have no answer from them they keep telling me to re send my e-mail questions. Is it possible that their is some advantage to the Embassy from Banco Popular. When i went to sign up for my S.S. They had a man standing at the entrance to Citizen services with a form all filled out for Banco Popular. I declined and lucky enough the person who i saw was an American. And he was not happy to my using Scotibank but complied. Opening another dollar account is expensive. And Banco Popular is the same rude employees as the embassy. I hope some one reads this and lets me know if they had the same problems. This is the only web site that i found that i could Tell what is going on. Thank You i hope many read this and react.
US Embassy is one of the ### embassy...
I don't understand whom applicants are genuine to them.
I think they prefer those who are presenting their self with fake papers they are genuine to them. idiots even not taking interest to see file presentation and travel history.
I have visited almost all Asia, Australia, Armenia and united kingdom and today i requested for US Visa to maternal family. they refused me. we are having restaurant business and fashion boutique in India more than fifty thousand dollars in bank and disered to visit for only fifteen days... ### telling me that am not qualified..
blady ###ers...I just want them out of our country as well...
rascals...
My husband would totally agree with all of the posts on this site. My husband is a French Citizen, I am an American Citizen we were trying to get a SB1 (return visa) for my husband (who has been a permanent resident for over 20 years) to return to the US because he went over his year of being out of country two months because our son and I were sick and had to have medical treatment while being in France. He had his green card, drivers license, SSN everything for over 20 years of being in the US, but we decided to go to France for a bit.
So he goes to his interview at the US Embassy in Paris, France
1st person he sees is Asian asks if he has all of his papers, answer yes of course, take a seat someone will call you
2nd person British tells him he had to go pay $275 for the SB1, then sits and waits again to be called
3rd person American starts asking questions walks off every time he starts to answer, if she is not walking off she turns her head to ignore his answers, asks for his paperwork does not even look at them, when he starts to answer the questions she asks more questions and does not listen to the last answer, when he tries to interrupt to answer she boles right over him right into another question. All to be denied because she said that his reasoning for being out of the states was not sufficient enough and he did not plan on ever going back BECAUSE HE COULD FORSEE MY SON AND I GETTING SICK WHILE IN FRANCE. Our son (US Citizen) was having to see a heart specialist to make sure he was okay and we found out he has a heart murmur but luckily not life threatening.
Not to mention we have a checking account still in the states, our mail is still going to my mothers in the states, both my mother and father have health issues and I just lost my grandmother.
Her answers were that I will have to file the I-130 that will cost another $420 that could still be denied AND the wait is about 2 years.
He felt like she treated him like a piece of trash in his own country, while she sits and enjoys the privileges of the health care system in France. He wanted to ask her if she enjoyed being her to enjoy it.
Being denied is one thing, but at least be nice to people so they do not feel like SH** in the process because they already feel like SH** for being denied.
Makes you wonder how our US Embassy could employee such cold hearted individuals who get to enjoy the benefits of living abroad to treat the citizens of that country like SH**!
I have always been treated nicely in France and at their Embassy in the US.
I do have a similar complain my sister went to the Venezuela embassy in Caracas with invitation from me that I'm us citizen and they told her that they don't accept that invitation no even if is coming from the president of the USA (Barack Obama) she fell so bad about the way they treated i think something must be done about it i don't think is fear to treat people like that i really mad about it they treated like SH! something have to be done I don't see any respect at all I don't see they treat people with dignity as USA citizen I feel so bad!
This is the umpteenth time I have written called the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt, with 'shake off' results. And now I can't even find a place in the US to make a complaint. Really nice how us embassy officials/employees treats Americans living abroad. Whether they have been falsely accused, are going thru problems during revolution periods, need a notorized letter, an appointment, have a question as to how to vote in the upcoming presidential elections, ANYTHING. I can't figure out WHY the US taxpayer needs to pay for embassies in foreign countries, because those foreign countries give service far quicker and with better results than they do to US citizens. Probably just want to kiss ### to the foreign countries they are in and forget the US citizens -- they would rather give them the boot than do business with them. Unless it means collecting money.
By money, I mean preferably 'baksheesh' (tips/money under the table) for themselves.
I agree. I thought only the us embassy is the worst place in nepal to get any service out of. But it looks like it's the same deal world wide - it would not be wrong to call it an epidemic. Some of the services i get in the "third world" are far, far better than the s####y "service" provided by the us embassy that's there to cause mental, monetary and all other sort of inconvenience to foreign and apparently, american nationals as well. Great job!
American Embassy Albania completely dysfunctional. fake names no identification. aggressive guards do not prioritize Americans. No privacy. Everyone in the office will hear everything you say and provide comment while you listen through a two way microphone in a medical emergency. You will be scrutinized by Albanians and treated with little empathy and behind your back (microphone)scorn by americans . what a pleasure makes me wan to go back so badly . compared to Western Europe The United States is a Third World Country in every way architecturally, intellectually, structurally and no longer my home. It is true, in America like President Trump, all the idiots/PsychoNarcs rise to the top.
Agree with all the complaints above, US consulate in Johannesburg, SA is just as bad. Rude and arrogant staff treating applicants like rubbish. If they don't want tourists going to America, they should make it clear on the application form before we waste our money paying for the interview. I walked out of the consulate feeling like less than a human being after wasting my money to apply for a tourist visa. What an unpleasant experience.
Rude behavior and inconsideration to natives of 2nd and 3rd world countries appear to be the norm for working in the consulate section of any US Embassy. The US Embassy in Uganda is extremely bad. This is the consensus of Ugandans living here who attempt to get a visa. They are giving 2 minutes, if they are fortunate, and routinely turned down by the consulate who routinely reads minds and motives telling those who have F1s to attend school that they will not return so their visas are denied. However, those who are scammers with fake documents get visas and never return. American citizens living in Uganda also receive rude, and unhelpful intervention. What a shameful situation! What makes matters worst is that there are no appeal processes so there is no incentive to treat people properly.
You know what I could care less if they treat non citizens rudely I don't care about miss brit rubbish above. I do care that american citizens are being forced to deal with guatemalans who don't speak english-outsourcing was a brilliant idea - who came up with that one trump? when I have asked to speak with an american mr. haney your "staff" doesn't [censored]ing speak english so no I do not have to speak to a [censored]ty guatemalan after I have been beaten and traumatized by a gang of these ugly motherfuckers. you haney are a psychopath with no consistence. so are all your lazy as [censored] employees including cheryl who never called back after I was beaten to a pulp on good friday april 10 I spke to yo today 29th o april more than two [censored]ing weeks after I was atatcked you useless piece of [censored]. I recorded our conversation.. [censored] you and your [censored]ing useless staff no wonder you are stuck in a [censored]hole in guatemala. I am american, assholel I was born in nyc. you are probably from some pathetic podunk midwestern [censored]hole. I also take issue with the fact the embassies are partnering only with the most expensive airlines corporatizing and capitalizing on covid 19, nice psycho. lives matter more than money but you are a [censored]ing retarded american you know nothing. thank you god for making my p{parents european. if I do not pay unitd you are recorded as saying that I need a letter only from united to get to guatemala department. and you told me if I don't have 1000 usd well then I can't come home. [censored] you haney room consular services you are as retarded as trump I am shocked that you represent the country abroad as a foreign service officer. I guess the collective iq is so low they will accept anyone now. obviously. you should be fired. you did not help when I called for help and was unlawfully detained for "having covid simply because I am white." I spoke to two media sources and recorded our conversation and your guatemalan [censored] that you have speaking to americans does not even speak english fluently. I hope you die a slow [censored]ing painful death becasue you are a useless concienceless idiot who gives people illiterates to speak to after they have been assaulted abroad. you're going to go far. lol!
As a retired American citizen not living in Costa Rica you must report to the American Embassy in Costa Rica for any questions related to the SSA.
We were more then 50 retired American citizens waiting in a hotel in the Republic of Panama for the Embassy employees to arrive to this reunion at 8:00 am by the end of August 2022.
They arrived 2 1/2 hrs late & lead as to do their jobs of finding certain docs. for yourselves in a pile of 100's of envelopes.
I never find any of my docs , so I was told by one of the Embassy's employees "that my docs must be sent to another locations in Panama or lost along the way here".
I still waiting for them to send me via Email a copy of the "LOST" docs...!
This IS NOT the first time that I have trouble with them due to they fault & they always IGNORE their own faults.
They need to conprehend that THEY ARE LIVING ON THE AMERICAN TAXPAYEERS SINCE EVER.
Since that the American Embassy in Panama were taking care of the retired American persons living here we never ever had a problem.
Years ago probably due to cutting costs down they directed us to resolve our problems with the American Embassy in Costa Rica that's is where all theproblems started.
The employees from the Embassy are rude & completely lock of conciense.
These persons ARE NOT Americans, they're from Costa Rica.
I understand this not the US it is the Banana countries rules.
No wonder they never get ahead.
I live in Costa Rica, have for 4 1/2 years, I do not need the Embassy that often, but when I do, I would like a response sooner than 2 days. I can not talk to someone from the Embassy face to face, it is either email or outside the door through a speaker. I have sent a question 2 days ago requesting information about a account number for direct deposit, the Embassy said it will be one thing and the bank said it is something else. I ask the Embassy about filling out the form, the Embassy said they have an agreement with the bank, but the bank knows nothing about it. It get really frustrating to deal with the Embassy here, but I have no choice.
If you are from Costa Rica, I would think it is the same with other country's, and all you want is a short visit to the U.S.A., you have to prove you are coming back. My wife is from Costa Rica, I am a U.S. Citizen, all she wants is to visit my family in the states, we have tried twice to get a visa and were denied, it is really frustrating to spend all that money just to be turned down, and there is no one you can talk to that will treat you like an American, you are just a nobody...
