I rented a condo in Gulf Shores, Al from this website. I reserved in back in early March, the reservation was for July 14th thru July 21st. I had to cancel my reservations due to a close family member becoming very ill, she has no family but me and I am her caregiver. I cancelled on May 18th, liking four days being two months. Now, they won't refund my $739.00 dollars that I paid down. I have tried to contact them by phone and email and never got a response until today when she basically told me that I didn't take out renters cancellation insurance, so I don't get anything back. Over the years I have made many reservations and have never lost any money from something like this, I think it is a terrible sham that we as Americans are treated this way. I don't know about the rest of you, but I work long and hard for my money and I can't afford to just sent it to somebody without getting something in return. All I know is I want my money back and I am going to small claims court to try and do that. We need to show these low lifes that we mean business and that we are not going to sit back and take their crap. Has anybody else has this type of problem, please let me know. Thank You
