Less than a month ago I purchased a new travel trailer from Camping World of Bakersfield. The delivery and service have been horrible, to say the least. First I was talked into buying the “Camp Ready” package expecting the trailer to be completely gone through and ready to go camping. On the delivery day, there was a single item on the list to order a piece of trim and replace it when it arrived. During the 10-minute walk through we discovered the Blind over the bunk beds was broken, the blind over the table was broken, almost all the trim was damaged, there was brown dried glue on the wall at eye level in the bathroom, and the pantry shelf was broken. Then when we went out for our first camping trip we discover the water line to the toilet leaked, the water supply to the bathroom sink leaked, the water line to the kitchen sink leaked, and the hot water lines still had pink stuff in them, the lid to the storage compartment under the bunk beds was broken, the weather stripping to the storage compartment in the front was so poorly installed it was falling off, the shower rod was loose and falling off, the snap covers on the bunk bed were missing, there were staples hanging out of the roof above the top bunk bed, and the wiring to the batteries was left hanging and almost dragging on the ground. I was conned into paying extra for service and ALL of this was missed. I spent most of our first camping trip running back and forth to a hardware store to get tools and parts to get things to a point where it was useable. Upon our return, I took the trailer back to Camping World Bakersfield and talked to David Andrews the Service Director. Mr. Andrews was not very helpful and didn’t seem to care much about my experience. I paid $1500 for a service, I did receive some parts like batteries and propane, but the Service part either did not happen or was done so poorly that it might as well have not happened. After many non-returned phone calls and failures to follow up as promised by Mr. Andrews today, he offered me a $250 gift card to go away. This is completely ridiculous, I paid $1500 for a package and received $500 worth of items. This is a complete rip-off! I have tried very hard to work with Mr. Andrews but it has turned out to be a complete waste of time.
Desired outcome: Refund of the Cost of the Camp Ready Package, $1500
Camping World - Employees customer service
June 19 2020 on friday from 3:40pm to 4:24pm I went in to get some chairs that I saw online for father's day. I asked a guy (employee) about the chairs he responds with "I don't know, asked him about the ordering process" I don't know, asked him how long will it take for order to come in"I don't know". Useless! I went to look at chairs myself, so looking at chairs I was shot confused on prices, so I figure it out, meanwhile employees walking not bothering to help. Then the reclining chair wasn't reclining so I go ask again the cashier for help, she comes, but wasn't really helpful almost like she wanted to get back to just stand behind the register. I keep trying to figure the chair out, so I decided to ask the cashier again for help on how long the chairs will take if I ordered them still no help. It just seems to me the way these workers are here that they don't like their job. They look miserable even the way they talk. This is why you have so much bad reviews "your employees". We spend a lot of money in our rv, camping stuff, service to get this kind of response from you. Very disappointed.
