I'am writing this letter to inform your office of my recent experience with Costco pharmacy.I'd been filling my prescriptions at Costco pharmacy for many years.i run out of my diabetic pills even though I gave the prescriptions 2 weeks in advance and per pharmacy, they need to verify the orders from the doctor.I went back to their pharmacy 2-3x for those meds but was told that my me never called them back.I requested for a couple of pills just so I can take something and I can help follow up with md.I was not able to go to work that day because I could hardly walk and I needed my neuron tin and of course my glipizide. I'am a brittle diabetic and if I miss a dose of my diabetic pill, I can go into coma and even die. I'am an RN by profession for almost 40yrs and I know what I'm talking about. I'm not asking for a narcotic but a diabetic pill that I need even for a day or 2 but they refused to give it to me. I'm also reporting this to the Pharmacy Board because I feel that with this practice, they endangered my life and if it continues, other people's lives will also be in danger. The meds I requested was also filled in the same Costco pharmacy for many yrs.(apprx.10 yrs).
Costco - deceptive coupon printing
On Wednesday, January 19, 2011 we did some shopping at the Lakewood COSTCO store. Among our grocery list was Pork Loin as we had a $4.00 off coupon. At checkout, all the other coupons were listed on the receipt except for the Pork
On the following day, 01/20/2011, we went to the return desk to get credit for the coupon. However we were told the coupon was not good for the item number we bought (73616). The receptionist at the desk pointed out the item numbers that would be applicable.
Where? On the coupon. Where on the coupon?
The item numbers (33956, 16141, 37401 & 37402) were printed in a very light gray and basically unreadible without a magnifying glass. As a matter of fact, a magnifying glass HAD to be used to read the item numbers for this complaint.
As you can see by the attached scan, the almost impossible to read restrictions could be considered deceptive advertising. Your advertising department obviously selected an almost unreadable color so a more expensive item would be purchased instead.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
