On 11/22/20 I made a reservation for one night from 11/23/20 to 11/24/20 online with Motel 6 for their 43540 17th St. West, Lancaster, CA 93534 location. When I arrived on 11/23/20 at 5:30 pm I was given room 215 on the second floor next to a large door that said KEEP OUT and housed a maintenance area not open to the public. I assumed it was used by staff. This was significant because I was rudely awakened that evening at 1:00 am. by a loud engine, possibly a furnace, because of the cold weather. With the wind chill it was about 40 degrees. This was a clear violation of the California State Penal Code 415 (2): Disturbing the Peace with Loud Noise. For this disruption to be automated and thus planned to occur on a regular basis next to a bedroom aka dwelling, that customers pay for nightly, is illegal. I called and spoke to Rashon at the motel front desk in the phone provided in my room at 1:00 am. I explained the situation. He did nothing. The next morning, I complained about the situation to the middle aged woman at the office window. She refused to give me a refund and gave me Juan Espitia's business card. I called General Manager Espitia at 11:00 am and explained my situation about the above breach of contract yet he refused to give me a refund for my $80.00 paid for the one-night room rental.
