Stater Bros Markets - Worst customer service ever

Worst shopping experience ever. It was very busy, thursday afternoon, 3 check out lanes open and one 15 items check out lane, at least 4-5 people in every other lane they were calling for backup on the pa system. I had placed 15 items on the check out counter out of 20 total items, i'm very fast and will help bagging so unfortunately I went to the 15 item line which only had one person in it. The check out clerk thru a fit. She made a huge scene. A huge confrontational word for word scene. I apologized, said I was only 5 items over and its busy, im fast and im in a hurry today. She continued to berate me and encouraged the customer in line in front of me to berate me. There was no one in line behind me. Not one single person behind me, while 4-5 other people stood in the other lines waiting. Between her and the customer confronting me it took more time than it did to check me out. No one told the man in front of me who was confronting me to leave so I could pay. I had to state out loud so the whole store could hear and I quote - "why doesn't someone tell this guy to leave the store so I can pay and you can help other customers.., I just want to pay and leave?" - no response, no manager. There is no reason that clerk should have ever even questioned my 5 items over when its that busy in the store. I literally had exactly 15 items on the counter when she questioned me and I then counted out loud 1 to 15 showing her I only had 15 items on the counter and then counted the 5 in my cart and apologized. Finally a manager took over, who didnt seem sympathetic or did he apologize to me for the biggest inconvenience ive had in a decade. Worst customer service ever. A clerk who is that confrontational does not belong in retail. After years of shopping there im going somewhere else. She just cost the company thousands with her attitude.
