Spokeo advertises a 95 cent search, which I did, only to discover that they signed me up for continuing service at $24.95 per month...caught them after the first-month fraud, and cancelled...still stuck for that first charge...in this day and age, with companies fighting for every customer, it is idiotic to continue this deception...no need to add more to this complaint, Spokeo knows what they are doing, and they don't care a damn...
Desired outcome: refund would be nice

Spokeo - people search
On may8/2019 I have Spoken a trial search to try to find a longtime friend. The cost of trial was to be .95c. They charged me .95c and $2.63. I know it's not much compared to other scammed people but it adds up. I cancelled trial within minutes because it's worthless and I would like a refund. Pitiful that companies like this are allowed to stay in business.

Same here.. they are liars, and thieves. Did the same thing to me and PayPal didn't help me, even though they said "We have you covered.". Spokeo does not have any information that is worth money. Most of it is wrong.
