On 1-11-2020 I was shopping in the above referenced store with my adult son. Upon entering the checkout line, we had 3 separate orders in one shopping cart. We placed two of the orders on the line and left two one gallon containers of juice in the cart because there was no room. The cashier asked us three times, who was paying for the juice. We answered my son. He then went on to state "these people try to get away from paying". My son went on to pay for the first order. I proceeded to pay for a loaf of bread with a $100 bill. He took several minutes looking at the front and back of the bill, attempting to tear it by pulling on each end and then proceeded to look at the front and back of the bill several times, in addition to holding the bill up to the light five times. My son then proceeded to pay for the juice. I asked for the store manager and he stated, " I'm the manager." He refused to give me his name and did not have on a badge. All of the above took place on Term #4, Oper #1108796 at 14:48:16, the transaction #511. This persons demeanor and attitude was offensive and rude. I am not one of "these" people. I am a Master's level Social Worker and find this individual appears to have some very serious issues with possibly people of color. I found his attitude towards my son and I deplorable especially since he found it necessary to tell us he lived in Redlands, CA. All of the above was degrading and embarrassing. I am an African-American female in addition to being a senior citizen. I am expecting a resolution of this incident that will satisfiy me having all I went through in the presence of others in the store.
