Pier 1 Imports - Gift card

I visited Pier 1 Imports on 6/27/2020 to make a purchase with a Pier 1 gift card. The item I wanted to purchase was out of stock. The sales representative stated new items was coming the following week, and the store will be adding to their inventory. The representative recommended I come back the following week. I asked the representative will I still have the ability to use my Pier 1 gift card, she stated yes, until the store finally close. Due to the pandemic I had to be quarantine for 14 days because someone at my employer had tested positive for the virus. So, finally I visited the store on 7/14/2020 and was told I can no longer used my Pier 1 gift card that I received for a birthday gift as of 7/12/2020. I explained the unfortunate situation and was told it was nothing they or I could do. My gift card have over $50 which I can no longer can utilize. This is horrible customer services. I have been a loyal client to Pier 1 for over 10 years, and this is the treatment I received. This is unjust! Allow me to use my gift card or provide me the money for my the gift card. How can you not honored the gift cards, when the stores have been closed since March and just reopened in May/June. We are in a mist of pandemic and their is so much uncertainty. The last problem we need is Pier 1 not honoring gift cards that was purchased from their store. I cannot afford to lose over $50 due to some absurd store policy..Return my funds or allow me to use my gift card immediately!

Purchased a table, chairs and bench the week of 08/20/20. I Spent over $1200.00 dollars. Was told that if any of the chairs or table were damaged when I opened the box I would be able to exchange for another one. When we found a huge crack in on of the chairs we brought it in to do the exchange as promised. The three women at the Greenfield store started yelling at me and telling me that even though its cracked they wont take it back. I told them that it is the law under the consumer protection act and that they have to exchange the chair if it was damaged. One of the employees a chubby browned haired girl started yelling at me. Grabbed the new chair out of my hands, shoulder bumped me and yelled that I was a "[censored]" and that I better not try and take a new chair. These three women were all yelling at my husband and I. they were saying that we should take our broken chair and leave and never come back. It was the most horrible experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I have never in my entire life been talked to like this. I was shaking. Who treats customers like this? Or anyone for that matter. I just spent $1200.00 dollars and what was I suppose to do with one broken chair in my dining set? Who are these monsters. Why would you intentionally be mean to someone? Shame on them. Apparently those women have been know to treat customers badly. Beware anyone who shops there. Those women are horrible, disrespectful and disgusting. I would recommend to all that you shop at the Brookfield store where customer service is a priority.
