On August 15th 2023 my dog wasn't feeling well and I been taking my dog there since he was a puppy. He is on the wellness plan. When I took my dog in that day they did a exam they took blood and his fecal. They told me his blood work was fine and his fecal. I got told everything was good. When it wasn't his red blood cells was dropping dramatically. He became anemic I had to take him to another vet and she was concerned how his vet didn't catch this. He went to a specialist and had a ultrasound done and they found a big mass in his Intestines and was bleeding internally. He had surgery on
August 1,2023. He almost died in banfield care and they didn't care. This has been very emotionally distressed. He is only 4 years old, and I thought the whole point was having a wellness plan to catch that comes up early. Now, there is a possibility my dog might have lymphoma. Banfield should pay for his hospital bill, and any treatments may be headed for my dog. Also, pay for my emotional distress and my husbad along with lost wages. This wasn't right and I will never take my pets back to banfield ever again. what about my dogs pain and suffering along with mine he is my emotional support animal. How did banfield missed this could of been prevented and I believe there was malpractice involved. To tell me lies that my dog is good and healthy when he was dying in there care what kind of vet is this. I have a disability and this has been very stressful and overwhelming to have to go through this. If this doesn't get resolved and make things right I will go to the news I will but my dogs story out there on malpractice by banfield and close of killing my dog. He didn't Deserve this or his family. I have all documents and proof there was malpractice and miss Diagnosis involved. If it doesn't get resolved I my have to take further action because this wasn't right at all and not to care for my dog wellbeing. Here are some pictures of him happy and healthy to when he got sick you can see the difference and I don't get how banfield can tell me my dog is fine. He didn't have a easy life to start with and now this battle he is facing now and in the future. I will be getting a letter from the vet he went to and the specialist of a certificate of merit.
Desired outcome: I would like his hospital bill paid for and his treatments he my need. Along with emotional distress and pain and suffering.
