MY NAME IS MS. WOOD AND On January 17, 2023, I order a pizza online FOR A CASH PAYMENT. After waiting at my door for over 40 minutes, I called, and I was told by a person who identified herself as the store manager stated that the delivery driver called my mobile number, and it went to voicemail. I explained to the store manager that I had been waiting the front door of my home the entire time and the delivery driver never showed up at all. I was told that because the phone call went to voicemail that the driver did not show up that the policy was that the driver should call and then bring the pizza. That has never happened to me ordering from this store before. The manager then told me the driver was now on his way. At which time I pointed out that the pizza would be cold, and I did not want a cold pizza. The manager then stated that the pizza would not be cold although an hour had passed since I ordered the pizza. The driver showed up and I paid cash of which he did not have change for a $20.00 bill for a $14.00 order. After receiving the cold pizza, called back to the store of which one of the staff told me that the Manager was riding with the driver who was supposed to return with my change, to pick up her son from school. I then ask for the corporate phone number and proceeded to call the corporate office for assistance. I reported the incident and ask for a refund. I then received a call back from the manager who promised to refund the order the next day. The order was never refunded and when I called back to the store for the manager, I was told by one of the staff to go ahead and report to corporate and then hung up the phone. I called back to the corporate phone number and reported the incidents and was told again that someone would call back in 48 hours. However, later that evening I received a harassing message on the phone line of which someone was banging on utensils and yelling my name several times and then hung up. At this time because I have no idea why I received this type of service other than I am a black female AND BECAUSE I AM BLACK AMERICAN IT IS POSSIBLE THIS IS A RACE RELATED ISSUE. The pizza delivery did not initially bring the pizza and when he brought it, It was delivered cold and when I tried to obtain a resolution from the manager, she would not provide a resolution until I called corporate and then I received a harassing phone message from the corporate phone line after my second call. I would like to obtain a REFUND OF MY ORDER IMMEDIATELY FROM POPPA JOHNS STORE LOCATED ON OTIS PLACE NW WASHINGTON DC IMMEDIATEDLY.
Desired outcome: I WOULD LIKE TO OBTAIN A CASH REFUND OF THE $14.10 ORDER IMMEDIATELY DELIVERED TO MY DOOR.
