To Whom It May Concern:
You did work on my home at 3158 North Old Dixie Highway, Bunnell, FLORIDA, 32110 sometime in 2022.
The project was an encapsulation. As background, I have been calling since September 2022 to remedy multiple issues with the job. Called numerous times. Your company supposed put in a sub-pump underneath my house that is supposed to be keeping my house dry. I have been telling you (or trying to anyway) that it doesn’t work, and the pipe is not going underneath the house right so it’s not draining. Like I said, Numerous phone calls. Each time a representative says they are going to escalate my call, and no one returns it. Finally, I had someone return my call on Friday, his name is Josh, he is a regional manager. I think from possibly the Daytona office. I tried called him today for status, they say they can’t connect me to him. They have to do ANOTHER “escalation”, so someone will call me between two and three business days. Which would be Thursday. I do not have that kind of time, I need someone to call me now. Immediately.
My three bedroom floors are so wet that they deteriorated underneath and have collapsed, the same in my living room. This house is unlivable at this point. I am paying a contractor $16,000 to try and fix this situation, but it is not going to touch the amount of work that needs to be done.
My contractor is Ronnie Burrows from Creative Contacting. He has been doing this work for many years, he says there is no other explanation, except that the encapsulation was not done right. He said there should be no water under my house, and there obviously is and been.
My brother-in-law, Joseph Leto is the person who handled this project from the beginning, as my primary residence is in CT. He says they took a commercial dehumidifier out from under my home because they say that the sub pump would do the job. Well, obviously it didn’t work.
.
Well, obviously it DID NOT work! There is NO WAY any of this could have happened with a working sub pump.
The house was built in 1992, on cinder blocks. I have had the house secured by a company called Solid Foundations, so that is not the problem, the foundation is very secure.
I call and call and call. The representatives say we will escalate your problem, and so will call you back within two or three days. Well, this is not acceptable anymore, I need someone to call me back immediately. Josh, the regional manager called me on Friday, February 9. He said he would get back to me, have someone come to the house.
How is my Contractor supposed to finish this job without Terminix seeing what’s going on?
I will take us to the governor, whoever I have to, I need Terminix to call me and remedy this situation immediately. This incompetence has destroyed my home. I am going into my life savings, my IRA, to pay for this. It is unacceptable. There was nothing wrong with my floors before Terminix did the encapsulation.
My contact information is below. I need someone to address this and call me immediately. Your company must have insurance, which will pay for this damage. I have never heard of such a Company that you can’t reach anyone in charge, there’s no one to talk to, it’s a very helpless feeling. And I’ve been going through it since September, of 2022. Which is documented.
I look forward to hearing from someone very, very soon. I do not want to have to get a lawyer, but I will if I have to. And you will be paying legal fees.

Claimed loss: So far, I am paying $16,000 for repairs, but that will not be the final cost. That does not include the $8,000 that it cost to Terminix for the encapsulation..
Desired outcome: Payment for repairs, and reimbursement for original encapsulation that caused this problem in the first place.

Terminix came to my home and performed an encapsulation underneath the crawlspace of my home. What that entails was putting down barrier cloth, insulation underneath my floors, a sub pump to prevent moisture, and a drainage pipe, so the water would not pool up under my home. Well, that was an epic fail, I’ve been calling since September 2022, reporting that someone needs to come, and See what’s going on. Everything was wrong, even the lattice around my house looked like a 12-year-old did it. The water wasn’t draining, the pipe wasn’t angled right. So, the end result is that because of all the water that’s been pooling under my house for the past year and a half, my three bedroom floors and my living room floor, are rotted away, to the point that (as you can see in the photos) is collapsed. I have a reputable contractor, with an impeccable record of good reviews, who is reviewing the situation and says there is no other way this could’ve happened but by water, which shouldn’t have been under my house. Because of the capsulation. I call and I call and I call, and there is no resolve. There is no one to talk to but very polite and kind reps, who have absolutely no power to get anything done. They keep saying they are going to “escalate” my call, that you can expect a call in 2-3 days. No call. You call again. You leave messages, you might get a call back, but then there’s no follow up. Meanwhile, my house has become unlivable. I do not know what to do or where to turn.
