Days Inn - Rooms

My boyfriend and I stated at the location in Fern Park, FL on 8/7/2020 we should have left when we realized we had to do the transaction outside at a window, ok, understand maybe because of covid, but once in the room it is when I discovered there was only three small pillows on the king size bed, not your four standard size pillows and four which is standard in any hotel for a king size bed, these three pillows didnt even take up half the bed, so I called the front desk for more pillows, I need at least three for myself, I was told that due to covid19 they were only allowed three pillows, I made the statement that this was a king and at least four pillows should have been on the bed, that is standard in any hotel business. What is the reason? covid? the hotel parking lot had two cars in it... so its not like they were busy and needed help for cleaning, point I am making is that each room needs to be cleaned after each visit, if it was covid reasons, this room could sit for days without any one using it, thats how unbusy you were. The other issue is everything was damp to the touch, the floor had a wet film on it, the furniture was damp, the phone I was using was damp, the pillows and all the linens including the blanket were damp so that was another reason we did not stay.

I am finally writing this complaint because I wanted first to make sure my boyfriend did not get charged for the room, the employee did state he made a reversal but wanted to make sure I didn't need to include that with this complaint.

We ended up at a Fairfield by Marriot for a little more than what we paid, was able to get the room via walking into the lobby and everything as usual met our complete satisfaction, king size bed had four pillows on it and then my sweet boyfriend asked for two more just incase. BEST pillows and linens ever... love marriotts.
