View all 30 complaintsJackson Health System - ICU Front Desk Employee very rude
I have been visiting my father at the ICU department for the last 3 weeks and most of the time visiting everyone has been really kind and respectful. Today I entered and the front desk staff was extremely rude and showed no patience what so ever. His name is Carlos Aguilar and snapped at me when I was trying to check in to see my Dad. He did not let me explain to him why my mother was already in the room and that the doctor had authorized it because she is 72 and need support. Later my daughter checked in to see him and when she got in the room the front desk person Carlos called saying that we had been trying to sneak in. I feel so disrespected and offended specially after all the suffering that my family has been facing. I work in the medical field and this kind of treatment is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I like to see better customer services and to treat people with compation and respect.
Jackson Health System - Unethicality behavior
On Dec 31, 2020 William Herman Wright jr. Was admitted to Jackson Memorial Hospital through the er for a fall that caused him to have a bruised rib. During the course of his stay at Jackson he was moved around several times and the hospital staff didn't bother to contact the family to inform us of any of these things. On Jan 1st 2021 I had spoken to my dad while in dialysis through the nurse that he was in there with and she had confirmed that my dad had all his belonging in a black Chen bag (two cell phones and two chargers). He then was transferred to west wing 9 where he was mistreated and shipped off the floor to be sent in sicu overflow. I was looking for my dad for hours no one on the floor acted like they knew what happened to him and where his was. At this point he has no phones and no way of contacting us because sicu didn't have any phones the patient can use and the hospital staff had lost his belonging. I sent him an iPhone that he didn't know how to use but the nurse could call us on. These people used covid regulations to get away with murder. Yes murder. On Jan 4th after searching for hours and having people that I know as staff at JMH to locate him only for him to be moved again without notifying his family. He was then sent back to west wing 9 where he was laying in the bed suffering from pneumonia no clothes on in the cold hospital while tied to the hospital bed. I have asked can I come and take care of him several times and I was denied access. I had spoken to several ppl even Jackson corporate office complaint number 2101 - jhs10003 & 2101- jhs 10006 and they all told me only way if it's a life and death situation. In this case it was and I still was denied access, only to find out that because they weren't giving him proper care, he had a stage 4 ulcer they didn't want anyone to come see him.
My dad was suffering from falling, pneumonia in the lungs mistreatment and most of all being away from his family. I had spoken to his Head nurse Carol Slinger and she told me that they were unable to be answering the phone that we needed to have the phone programmed to pick up because they were short of staff. Being that my dad didn't know how to use an iPhone we did just that and on Jan 9th I heard the worst thing that a person should experience. The worst 25 minutes of my life. The Emergency Response Team having a roost and my father being the subject. I am upset and applauded at the behaviors of these health officials that took an oath to take care of the sick which they abused. I have a 25 min recording of the staff taking about how they wanted to shock my father and his nurse coming in only to ask if he's dead and everyone if laughing I had to sit through this and this is something I would never ever forget. I can't even remember good memories as a matter of fact no memoires my only memory of my father laying in that bed dying while the people that supposed to help him kill his soul. I am highly disgusted with JMH, which supposed to be one of the best hospitals in the country. Even the Doctor that was in the room didn't try to tell the people no better. I'm sure that this is not the first time this has happened I just so happened to call his phone at the right but wrong time.
After speaking with my father almost a week later he told me what he had remember and I was sadden but I wanted to lift his spirit so I didn't go in to detail with him he was so scared and I was afraid for him. My father couldn't eat after this whatever they did to him in that room they messed him up. They put something in just for fun... they did chest compression wrong. They talked about him physically. They wished death upon him. Why, if it was their family member would they have felt the same, would deceit have been good enough then. Before his passing I reached out to Department of Children and family where they still to this day would not release their finding to me and I was the person the initiated the claim of abuse. My dad was released from Jackson on Feb 6 to Jackson nursing home with a stage 3 ulcer and a feeding tube. My dad was in so much pain and we didn't know why until after getting his medical records.
No One Informed us of anything. While my father was in Jackson nursing facility, they had only one nurse on the floor so again being neglected all day they wouldn't even charge his phones he had two and iPhone that I can call in to him and a flip phone that he was familiar with using. Sadly, for him no one would charge either. I had called the Nursing home several times and asked can they charge my father phones. They told me they would do so only for me to find out that on the morning my father passed away he was asking can someone put his phones on the charger so he could call his family. My baby sister who had never been without my dad this long had sent him some balloons and roses. There was no phone in the room and no call lights. So, I can just imagine him screaming and asking for assistance that never came. I had discharge papers for my dad and he was supposed to be released from jmh on the day he passed. When I asked the nurse what happen she told me my father was asking for his phones to be charged she went in the room to do so when she came back, she called his name he didn't response she waited minutes later to go back and check on him where he was found unresponsive 911 was called and he was pronounced deceased please help me to understand this so I can move forward I'm so confused.
Desired outcome: all parties fired and I need mental health
Jackson Health System - Incompetent mri tech
Her lack of care for patients caused her to completely miss the seizure that her patient was suffering while under her care in the MRI bed a few days ago. Her constant flirting with male techs/nurses takes her focus off the patients.
This all started in August 2018 when N. started inviting male techs/nurses to drive up to Jupiter (where she lived) to "hang out". I will not speculate on what she did with them over there, but she increasingly became lax on her actual job duties every time she came back. One male nurse got divorced because of her advances, so this is obviously serious.
Illicit sexual encounters aside, I am more worried about possible injuries to patients in her care while she is busy going after her next male preys.
Just watch her, and please, protect the patients.
