I work for the company and the employees that are in management position in Orlando on Gore St has no clue on how to be a manger. It seem as though they were just put in the position just to say that they are. In fact when I was hired on the 19th of June I had to keep calling the district manager just to get a hold of the store manager. I called and texted her phone no response. Finally I decided to go to the store to see if she was working to find out if she had made a schedule for me. She told to go to one Family Dollar first but then called and said that was the wrong one. (wasted gas). Secondly she sent me to the 919 Colonial Dr. store to work without having my employee number to clock in (two days in row). That store manager didn't have a clue I was coming so I didn't get a chance to work. (more wasted gas). I called the district manager and told him what happened and could I at least get hours for the mishap for wasting gas. Yomiara then told me if I can get my red collar shirt by Fri 6/30 she would allow me to work Friday and Saturday. She then was able to get me id number and texted to me Thursday evening. I love working for the company but I think we need management training to better ourselves and for a good look to the company 's name. Desired outcome: Management training class.
It most definitely a training issue. The assistant managers and store manager @ 1340 Gore St. Orlando, FL seems to be confused about what to do (no clue about the duties of their job description). I know the district manager gets aggravated that I call him. It's not his fault but she doesn't make herself available.Tyler is the store manager and it's hard to reach her,not in the store when she suppose to be.
