My family and I went to Outback on January 4, 2023 to celebrate my husband's birthday. We arrive at 1:15 P.M. and was seated. The server brought out some water, and we did not see her again. We just kept looking around to see what was the problem. After forty-five (45) minutes had passed, my daughter had to track down the manager. Please keep in mind our food still has not come out. The manager comes back and said "It was an error in the kitchen" and when the bill comes out she would look at it."We were all in disbelief. Did she really just say that.
We received our burnt up food around 2:15 P.M., it was not fit to eat or serve to my dog. The server like I said never came back, and when my daughter showed her that he food was not fit to eat, her reply was,"You want me to try it again"?
The manager came out and told us that she was going to take only 50% (fifty) percent off our bill. She put us in total shock, after we have waited an hour for our food? The we looked around and saw that we were the only people of color in Outback. Were we racially profiled? We paid the bill and left. I have never been so disappointed in my life in regards to food.
This was handled very poorly by the manager, and this matter should
be investigated.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology, and a reason that we were treated this way. I also think that a gift card for an entire meal for my family is in order. That would be in the amount of $50.00 or more.
