I was recently employed at a good will on kerney st, in denver colorado, I am curently living in a halfway house. and am apart off the department off corections, I aplied on line for the job, and after I filled out the papper work on line ;it was lost. I was asked to fill it out again, not a problem chalk it up to covid, and new aplication desine.. this pushed my start day back. a loss off income. so I was colled and schedualed a interview. I arived earley, and know one knew who I was or who I was to speak with, a bad sighn.in my interviw my hiring boss used the words dont let your [censored] [censored] fealings get hurt, in terms wevyell alot, I said ok but in c haught I desided to look at him like a scum bag, the office I interviewed at, was covered in dirt, and old computers and stuff collected from donations, I did not even wont to sit there. I was told I had the job but ther was only one position availible, and I was told that he was going to go threw the rest off aplcants, 2 weerks went buy, another loss off income. I have 20 years exp, in the indistry of household furniture moving, and overwelming reviws off my work, with exp in over ceas, military, household. warehouse and dock work, and manigment exp, in oll aspects off the trade, thisware house in denver is the reginol office, and has several areas that peole work, they also employ handycap employees, this is amazing. threwout this ware houe the clothes are stacked 4 highas I usedvpallet jacj and moved boxes off clothing, the things I herd were amazing such as bum, rat, retard, ext.. you need to quit, [censored] [censored].. atroshious vocabulary.. and when I met a handycap employee, I noticed she was kept behind a fenced area in low light.. and as I wolked buy these are the words I was hearing. I was so upset that I was discusted, do to the fact manny employees have a criminal record I would asdume it is not discused, do to the fact most are afraid to recive repremands, that will be acessed buy staff at housing programs, tyhis bothers me alot. to wotch peopl be used, and verbaly beat on buy members off a estimed buisness, also in the break room the employees were using towells from donations to clean tables, and the restroom, a gross aproch to cleenly ness. ther wete old shoes and clothing everyware, and dishes used threw donations, ther was nothing but nasty dirt, and boxes full off junk you could not even tuck your chair under the table. the sepret eating holl was for other side off ware house, and smelled so bad it was filthy., as I met the ware house supervisor. I wad aproched abrufly. told not to speak, as I tried to agree with the job I was asked to do I was told to shut up, and not speak. for two weerks I was aproched this way, and then told im sorry dont take it personal. and the return vocabu;lary was yes mam no problem,. this continued for 2v weerks. I began to clean the dock in a fasion tyhat it was un safe, and orginizing junk, that was placed in tool boxes, ext, mostley parts off toys and pices off memories form broken items, my forman thanked me. and I kept going.. I was yelled at for placing chaines in a sucure box, and aproched buy staffg, I was told to shut up and bring the items back to the area they were in, again I herd the words loozer and retard threwout the building. no one wares maskes for covid protection, or work boots for safty,.in the parking lot there are denver citicins, loading trucks and clothing oll over the ground, and hom;ess parking in the lot, and disrespectfull to people ariving, the steet that is atatched to kernney is coverd in semies parked and are oll taged with gang sighnes. and the amount off trash and urin is abserd to wotch, it would be frightning to any one wolking buy a semi trailer, that has people living in it, cousing, and doing drugs, this would be a concern in oll matters to a young lady going to work directley across the street. I found this job to be a dander to, people going to work in the early morning, and the staff at good will to be out off line rude, and not in anyway complying to osha, regulations, and I find it a problem for people that are on paroll, do to the remarks I herd to be only a temp job, at best, during my wolk to work I herd remarks about shooting up meth, prostituton,. and oll the vehicles to be a contaminatyed waist, in the two weeks I was employed cars were parked nice, and looking well buy the end off the week windows broken. cars tottaled. and no plates, I can only imagin how this would afect a person going to work.. I suges everyone be carfull off this job, and to travell together as you arive to bus stop for work,
