I booked 2 rooms for a 1 night stay at your location, from Friday, January 27 to Saturday, January 28 at: 1905 W. Market Street, Bloomington, IL for my child’s ISU audition.
Upon arriving at nearly around 7:00-7:30pm, we went to the rooms and placed our overnight belongings on the bed and went right back out to learn our route to the audition location which our child needed to be there by 8:00 am, Saturday, January 28.
When we returned, I went to the Front Desk and asked for 4 more towels. (I did not receive all 4 bath towels, they were floor mats)
The Receptionist asked if we found our way around and I replied with a “Yes, we did. Thank you.”
Go into our rooms and getting ready to call it a night the following transpired and saw too many red flags:
The toilet leaked every time the toilet flushed.
The ceilings were stained, dirty and has mold in them.
The light fixtures have cobwebs on them.
The exhaust in the bathrooms are dirty and old with caked on dirt.
There is mold I. The bath tubs.
There is mold on the old shower curtains.
The flooring is old, cracked and stained.
The bedsheets have holes in them.
*please note, I have pictures.
Furthermore, in the middle of the night, other guests of Red Roof were loud and obnoxious., running up and down the stairs all the while soliciting sex. I called the Front Desk and no one answered.
We did not get any rest, nor was our stay safe or comfortable.
Our child was exhausted for his audition at ISU.
The next morning I called and was told to call back when the Manager, Sanjay comes in by 8:30 am.
I called back around 9:30-10:30 and spoke to Sanjay. He raised his voice at me And he blamed me. He said he could not refund both rooms, but only one.
The pictures on The website were NOTHING like what I experienced in person. It is appalling that RED ROOF INN would allow this location to carry on their business. It is misleading and a blatant lie.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund.
