Kay Jewelers - Mistreating customers

On July 17, 2021 my wife & I went into the Greenwood mall in Bowling Green, KY. I purchased her a beautiful ring on Christmas 2020 and we needed an inspection (per the warranty agreement that we purchased) and cleaning. We were ignored whenever we entered the store. Other customers left without anyone speaking to them. I approached a man, Addison Prosser and asked for assistance. It was apparent that he had an attitude and was very rude. He stomped his feet between 3 different areas trying to get on a laptop that would work. He abruptly said, "Did you get the ring here and when?!" I said, "yes, December of 2020." He sighed and rolled his eyes. There was another lady working but she was with a customer, so I had to deal with this employee. At one point I tried to show him the ring & he ignored me. He hardly spoke and was extremely rude. He was so rude that I decided to leave rather than be treated this way. I had to deal with him in December 2020 and he was rude twice when I have been in this store. He acts as though he is put out if he has to help someone. He does not have customer service skills and has a nasty disposition. After walking thru the mall, my husband & I went back into the store where 3 employees were sitting around talking. He approached Addison Prosser and learned that he is the store manager. Mr. Prosser said that he did not intend to treat us this way and that he was willing to inspect the ring at this time. We opted to leave the store as he was defensive and argumentative. We left and went to the Hendersonville, TN store and Bree assisted us. We were greeted whenever we entered the store. Bree never asked us what store we got the ring at & when. She was very pleasant and inspected and cleaned my ring. We traded in a ring last December and paid$6, 500 for this ring. A week or so later I saw that Kay's had the same ring on sale. We called & was told to come in and they would give us the difference. I explained we traded up on the phone. Whenever we went back to the store he was visibly shaken by us asking for the price difference. He was rude and unsure of how to handle the request. We live in TN and drove to KY because they initially had the ring I wanted in stock. He finally agreed to give a $300 refund to us, which was shorting us substantially. He then asked, "Will this make you happy? This is the best I can do." Both dealings with Addison have been less than pleasant. My recollection is that we were owed more like $700 because of the ring being on sale. His demeanor and attitude was harsh and abrupt. I knew he shorted us money but he did not know how to refund us the full amount we were owed. Both dealings with this employee have been stressful. I will not be back in that store again. I am upset at how I was treated. With businesses having difficulty during the pandemic, having an unkind person like this as a store Manager is not going to be beneficial long term for Kay's. I would like an investigation into how much money I am owed after the ring went on sale in Jan 2021, 2 weeks after we purchased. I should have contacted corporate after I dealt with him the 1st time. As a Christian, I believe in treating people right. I would like the same in return. Two strikes in Bowling Green, KY & I will not be back. My husband mentioned to me afterwards that he wanted to purchase me another ring & we have discussed Zales. I am a long time Kay's customer and it is very disappointing to have had such experiences. I am a nurse but have worked in management in retail for many years. I could not imagine treating any of my past customers or current patients in the manner we were treated.

Desired outcome: I would like an investigation into the money I was shorted on my Kay's credit card. I wish to be made whole.
