I need to have someone contact me about the car wash blowing my tire put lastnight.. I need my tire fixed it was fine when I entered the car wash and blew out midway thru the car wash and my truck just stopped and my wheels were turned so I had to straighten my wheels up to get it unstuck so I didn't get hit by the car behind me as it was still coming and it's done cost me 2 hrs sitting there and a $20 can of fix a flat for the spare tire I had to use and $19 for the car wash that didn't get completed because I got stuck and I got a blown out tire so I'm out of pocket money and have a flat tire just from pulling in your car wash it's pretty obvious that I didn't pull in with a flat tire but I sure exited the car wash with one so it's not my fault that yalls equipment done that to my truck and I shouldn't be the one that has to fix this
Desired outcome: Would like my tire fixed and a refund on the car wash I didn't get
Zips Car Wash - Vehicle damaged while being washed
On Monday May 31st at approximately 10 am, I was having my car washed at the Zips at 4405 Bardstown Road in Louisville KY.
The process at this location is that your car is pulled along a conveyor system and transported through the wash process.
At the midway point in the cleaning the space between the car in front of me and my car shortened and my car struck the vehicle.
After the initial impact the conveyor system that was controlling my cars movements ran my vehicle repeatedly into the car in front of mine, at least seven times.
After the initial impact I expected the machine to shut off and it did not do so, it was only after repeatedly blowing my horn was I able to get the attention of the attendant to stop the conveyor.
Upon exiting I inspected my vehicle and found damage to my bumper and went to speak with the manager, Michael Hall, [protected], [protected]@zipscarwash.com.
He advised me that it was not their fault, that a car had hit its brakes and caused the impact. I countered that the repeated impacts were certainly caused by the failure of the system to shut off and repeatedly drive my car into the rear of the car in front of me.
Mr. Hall has repeatedly refused to provide the name of their insurance carrier so I can file a claim.
At the time of the incident I requested a copy of the video and he advised that he had a loss prevention person who would supply a copy, he has since stated that no such person exists and that he can not provide this to me.
All I am requesting is reimbursement for the damage to my vehicle.
Any competent business carries general liability insurance and I am requesting that information to process my claim.
Desired outcome: Pay for damages to my vehicle
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
