While visiting Outback in West Monroe, LA I witnessed some extremely unprofessionalism by the manager; Miasha on March 19, 2021. A young man was getting his pick up order and it was not prepared correctly twice so then after the second time he just asked for a refund. He told her that he did not want the food because it was done incorrectly twice. The manager refused to give him a refund and demanded him to leave her store immediately. She yelled "get out my store!" He stated that he would leave once his money is refunded. She kept yelling and called the police. The police arrived and looked confused as why the gentleman could not get a refund but a few minutes later she decided to give a refund. The manager refused to give her name but it was found on the company's website as Miasha Rucks; partnering manager. I am extremely disappointed as to how to she reacted and cannot believe these type of people are in partners with Outback. Police officers should not be called in these type of situations because it could have led to a bad incident. Their job is to fight crime and a crime was not involved in this incident. Asking for a refund is not a crime. She made the situation worse. The customer should have been given a full refund at first before the police arrived. No one wants to pay for service this is unprofessional and not done correctly. What happened to "the customer is always right?" The customer was 100% right in this situation. Also, outside of the restaurant the manager and workers were outside arguing for about 6 minutes. I was appalled by what I saw inside and outside of the restaurant. I will not go back unless it is under new management.
Desired outcome: A personal apology from the manager to the gentleman, free entre, and more classes to train for professionalism and management in the workplace.
Outback Steakhouse - Inappropriate behavior displayed by staff
March 19, 2021 at approximately 10:00pm I was waiting in my vehicle at the Outback West Monroe, LA location when I witnessed a staff member who was possibly the manager being extremely rude and unprofessional towards a male customer. The customer attempted to explain his order was not correct when the Outback staff member completely disregarded his concern. Instead of addressing his concerns or correcting the order, the staff member began screaming "get away from my store" and called law enforcement when the customer asked to receive a refund due to her refusal to correct the order. When law enforcement arrived the Outback staff member refused to provide her name or provide the customer with a refund.
