Customer number [protected] Order number: [protected] Background: Ordered 3 cookbooks December 9th. Received shipping confirmation December 11th; charged my credit card December 12th. On December 28th I called to complain the books never arrived. Called January 5. They claimed they re-shipped them January 5th, and they would arrive in 2-3 WEEKS! The kicker: they refuse to provide a tracking number for the second shipment. They claim they don't have one. So, books ordered December 9 may or may not arrive by January 26. Issues: (1) In order to log on to their website to track the order you need your "account number" which is NOT included on the order confirmation; you have to call customer service to get the account number. (2) Re-shipping an order should be done via expedited shipping, not another 2-3 week wait for standard shipping. (3) Re-shipped order should have a tracking number! Conclusion: NEVER order from America's Test Kitchen. I certainly will not.
Update: The original December 9 shipment arrived January 7.
On January 9 I received an email with the tracking number for the second shipment, showing it went to the post office 1/8 even though
Customer service claimed the shipment went out 1/5 and there was no tracking number.
The complaint should have included the USPS since they are the ones that took almost 4 weeks to deliver my package. It was NOT sent media mail so there is no reason for the delay.
