Do not use care.com they have a disgraceful way of making money which is to trick members into paying for a service they do not want or need by automatically renewing subscriptions. On top of this they have a VERY strict refund policy which screws hard working people out of their money. They have no sympathy for their members they even have bogus procedures in place to pass off upset members by never returning phone calls or sending out generic emails in response to members who were unaware of the membership renewing and who are out hundreds of dollars because they don't want to deal with these situations and have no intention of doing the right thing and returning the members money. They claim to have "quality" caregivers on the site but the site has unqualified unreliable caregivers who are unprofessional and lie about their experience to get a job. Care.com does not care if any of the members on the site find a job or a quality caregiver thru their site. They will refund your money under no circumstances regardless if the site was helpful to you or not. They have bogus tv ads that portray an Agency like process on the site but in reality they do not help with the process at all and like I stated before could careless if you find someone or not. They only care about tricking people out of their money. They have a terms of use agreement that is so tight and legalizes the type of dishonest practices they use that a member would not stand a chance getting their money back even in a court of law. Why have such a thorough terms of use contract if you are an honest company and see no event in the future where you would need to pull this contract out? It's obviously because they know what they are doing is wrong but they want to protect the company

Care.com - scam to take your funds
BEWARE OF CARE.COM These people are scammers. No question about their intention. DO NOT SIGN UP! They will dupe you into one month and then charge you monthly for nothing after you use their services. Then when you question it they will for weeks send polite notes saying that they cant find you or your address or your card info ...AND THEN THEY ASK FOR YOUR SS NUMBER! That was the biggest alarm bell of all particularly as they wouldnt have had it in the first place.
THESE PEOPLE ARE ROGUES. DISHONEST CHEATS TRYING TO EXTRACT MORE INFO FROM YOU FOR OTHER PURPOSES. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND GIVE YOU NOTHING! Here are all their emails making excuses for days they cant find us yet they are still sending emails as you can see on their list to the address I gave them. The point is they know they are scamming every customer who joins for a month to find a nanny or cleaner and then fleeces them for months afterward until they notice regular charges on their bills. For those who travel will not see this for months and wind up owed hundreds when they eventually look over their card statements properly. There appears to be a lot of complaints about this company everywhere with regards to this illegal scam operative practice Care.com have created. BEWARE!
Geez... SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!
Hi George H James, I apologize for the experience you had, as it was never our intention to mislead our members. Care.com states on the payment page that "All subscriptions automatically renew until cancellation" so that members are aware that it is a subscription service. Once you upgrade, you get a confirmation page giving you the option to "Set a Reminder, " which sends you reminder emails leading up to your automatic renewal date. I reviewed the full email chain that you noted above and do see that you were sent a confirmation email about your subscription and that you would be renewed.
In your case, you replied to the confirmation email under an email account that we do not have on file thus we could not find your account. We would need more information in order to review your account like your full name and/or email address on file, last 4 digits of the card, etc. We do not capture individuals seeking care's SSN number thus would not request that. I've reviewed the emails and do not see that request. If you can find that email, please do forward that to us.
Again, we are happy to review your account once we are able to find it. You can also do this yourself by simply signing into your account, the scrolling to "Membership Information" under "My Profile and Settings." Once you are there, click on "Downgrade." This will set your account to downgrade to the free membership, but will keep your information in our system so that you can log in and upgrade anytime. This process is detailed out in our FAQ page under "How do I close my account?"
If you'd rather call in, the Care.com Member Care lines are open 10-6 Monday-Friday EST, voicemails are returned same day at 877.227.3115. -Martha at Care.com

I just posted a complaint as well under 'other' I suggest you dispute your credit card. They don't really respond - they used canned responses. If you dispute, you will win.
