Waffle House - Dirty

On Sunday, 3:00pm, August 8, 2021, we stopped by the Waffle House (#1746), 1806 Edgewood Road, Edgewood, MD.
When I walked in, there were dirty dishes left on the booths and one had to be cleaned for us to sit down. I thought it would be sprayed and cleaned thoroughly... Not the case. It was cleaned with a dirty towel. We should have left, but didn't (not sure why I didn't). Regardless, we ordered the super bang breakfast with grits, waffle, eggs, sausage. Waiting, I looked around and the floor where the cook was filthy plus under our booth... The floor in general was dirty! The cooking area was unclean! Bathroom unclean! Salt and pepper shaker sticky. The order came and the grits were hard and dry. I asked the waiter why they were not creamy, and the waiter said sometimes they get that way... A hit or miss thing. I am considering calling the health department and am sure this restaurant will be shut down. No one should be eating there. Hopefully we won't get sick. Our bill was $26. Even.
A year or so ago, this place was delicious! Good help, good food.
