BJ's is a very good organization and should be a bit more conscientious of the companies they allow to advertise and promote in their stores. While shopping, my husband and I were approached by ATT representatives and started the process of switching our phone service. We were told that we would receive 3 free upgraded phones for turning in the phones we currently have. We were lucky that the young man helping us was completely incompetent and entered our password incorrectly. This was discovered a few days later when we tried to activate the new phones they sent to us. We were told we had to go into a ATT store to reset our password before activation. There we found out that one of the so called new phones would cost approximately $750. Thank goodness we were not able to activate the phones because if we did we would have been on the hook for that money. The representative at ATT was very helpful and apologetic. He called the BJ's ATT department and confirmed their misleading tactics. He was able to give us labels to return the phones and assured us they would return the $230 they already charged for the taxes on the phone. We later looked up reviews and discovered we are not the 1st once this was an issue with. I think BJ's should kick ATT out of their line-up. It is not good for your reputation.
Claimed loss: Time is money and I lost plenty of time dealing with this issue. I spent $42 to mail one of the phones to my daughter before discovering the scam.
Desired outcome: I would like to see ATT removed from BJ's for good.

BJ's Wholesale Club - Need an "all sales final" sign on the front of the building!!
Tried to return 2 items that were both securely shrink-wrapped. Was informed that they cannot take returns except for clothing because of the pandemic! I mentioned that they could wipe down the shrink-wrap and return it to the shelves. She said they could not. She said there was a sign at checkout. I looked for it, and it was a white sheet of 8x10 paper with the message typed on it, taped under the self-check tower. No one is going to see or read that sheet of paper! In addition, when I checked in at the front with my items to return, they didn't bother to tell me that I couldn't return it! I had to stand in line for 10 minutes! There should be a large sign as customers enter the store saying that most sales are final! Make it clear! They obviously don't want customers to know. I have added a photo so the piece of paper taped under "Self Check" can almost be seen...
