Ford - purchase of 2019 f-150

Dear Ford Official ;
I am wrting to express my deep dismay with the treatment I received in attempting to purchase a 2019 F-150 from the above rerenced dealer on December 29th and 30th, of 2019.
I am a small business owner and this woud be my third Ford pick up truck purchase. Having located the ideal vehicle in North Carolina via the internet, I contacted this dealership and arranged to travel from New Jersey to NC to make the purchase with their salesman Shane Bjorling. New vehicle insurance was put in place, a sales price and trade price all were agreed upon. Several hours into my trip, I received a call stating that they "could not locate the vehicle on the lot, " and that another dealer had "swappped floor plans" with them weeks earlier. I do not believe that any Ford dealer does not know the exact inventory on their lots at any given day. It was December 30th, and the generous rebates were expiring so the general manager of the dealership did locate another vehicle in Kentucky, but negotiations on a price and trade-in with that other KY dealership were fruitless. I lost out on the year end rebates and the vehicle of my choice, an F-150 metallic grey XLT /sport package with a 6.5 bed.
An even greater loss is all the time spent negotiating, making travel plans, hotel reservations, packing, placing insurance and then travelling, which was in vain under what I believe to be questionable circumstances and decisions by employees at this dealership.
It is my unproven feeling that this vehicle was traded to another dealer as the sales manager said he had "an inquiry from another dealer in South Carolina, " and that I should "take this price" for the vehicle.
This particular incident does not reflect upon any prior instance I have had in many years of contact with other Ford dealerships. I'm expressing this complaint in hopes that it gets shared with all Ford dealerships nationwide to enhance best practices when dealing with internet purchases.
