On Saturday September 30th 2023 around 3PM I went into the American eagle store in West Acres Mall in Fargo ND because they had a sign out front that said ALL JEANS AND CARGO PANTS by one get one 50% off of equal or lesser value. I went in and bought 2 pairs of jeans thinking I’d get one 50% off since that’s what the sign said but when I looked at the receipt I didn’t get 50%. I asked a worker and was told the signs wrong and it’s only select jeans that were BOGO 50% off. They told me they couldn’t honor the sign out front because it’s not their job to make the signs they only put the signs they have available out. They wouldn’t give me 50% off of one of the pairs and told me either return the jeans or leave because they were busy. I told them it’s false advertising and illegal if they don’t honor it since it’s just tricking people and the girl told me to leave because there was nothing she could do. I included a picture of the receipt to show I didn’t get one 50% off like was advertised.
