I was told that management at the Fallon store, made another employee cry. When I heard about this I knew all to well the feeling, because I too was made to feel the same way.in fact I had a nervous break down on the spot, and went directly to the hospital. It was so bad that I could no longer work there due to high stress levels, and anxiety. I was ask by the GM Tom, for me to keep notes in regards to Marcia's work ethics, as well as her erratic behavior towards employees. Notes were taken, and notes were given directly to Tom. When Tom received my notes in regards to this matter I was told that we were to give her chance.. Reason given was that there was to much money already invested in her. Meaning all the time spent in CA. I had tears in my eyes the day I left work. I loved my time working as freight manager for the company. I have never felt so belittled in my life let alone at work. Marcia says to me one day that if and when she was to have a seizure I was to by no means, make an emergency call, nor report it to home office or 911.. I asked why and she says I'm not allowed to drive because of the seizures I have. I told her that I wasn't going to be able to do that for her. That I would have to report it. From that day forward she made working with her unbearable. Shortly after I quit. I regret having to quit my management position. Last but not least after handing in my two week notice I was told that it was never submitted. She made it to look as if I walked off the job, which isn't true. This is how the manager treats her employees at this store location.

Jana, thank you for sharing your post and experience. Yes i was another employee that was so frustrated i ended up crying. I know i can make mistakes and not clear at times what my assignment is or even think i do understand, but ended up doing wrong things. At any rate no one should feel belittled. I felt like a was being treated like an idiot and like i purposely was being defiant. Anyone that knows me, knows that is not how i am.
I was on loan from another store to try to help out while this store was able to hire/train more employees. Unfortunately, i only lasted a week. I asked a couple of times if i could return to the store i came from, but was asked to stick it, so i continued on. I don't want to return there. The rest of the staff are awesome, they treated me well and helpful to me. If would be wonderful to have them working in our store, these ladies are such hard workers!
It would appear there is one common denominator here that several employees have quit, including other management. Hopefully, the upper management will figure things out and get that store running great with the employees that are left before they decided to move on too. It's amazing how well respect towards one another can go.
I hope your feeling better and on the road to recover. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but realize you were a strong person for walking away and taking care of you.
Not sure why no one has contacted you with your concerns. I will post a number here that can be called to file a complaint/concerns. It is to Human Resources under the "Speak up line" for Dollar Tree.

Janet, thank you for sharing your story. Yes that would be myself that end up so frustrated i ended up crying. My boss had me on loan to help the Fallon store. I only lasted a week before be treated like i'm an idiot and purposely defied .her. I know i can make mistakes and be confused at times of my assignments, but by no means should anyone be belittle the way the store manager talked to me or any of the other employees. I shared a couple times that i did not want to return, but asked to stick out my 30 days to help the store. I'm not willing to keep myself in a stressful environment.
There seems to be a common thread here if several employees have quit including management. Hopefully the upper management will get it figured out soon.
There is a number to call to file a complaint to Human Resources. This would be helpful if the complaints were filed this way. It's call the "Speak up Line"
